Sorry you loss your dad may he Rest In Peace. My brother graduated in 72 i think and he had the 8 track of this and we loved listening to it. Crazy stuff, Alice Cooper would get plastered on stage and couldn’t stand up forget the words and make it up he didn’t care and put on a wild show. He’s a recovering alcoholic now unless he died, probably took a lot of recovery for him. 😅

As an HS Junior, gearhead, pothead, drag racing and AC fan, a bunch of freaks like me all piled into a buddies 57 Ford Fairlane, and went to the local drag strip outside of town where AC was having a concert!!
Best time ever to that point!! Love AC then as I do now!!
School's out was played over the HS
intercom on our final day of school! At our HS, there was no divide between freaks and jocks! The jocks were freaks just as the freaks were (kinda) jocks!!

I played this when I was 18. I related to the lyrics 100%. My mom saw Alice Cooper when she was 16 & took pictures. She was in the 7th row, but said she felt like she was closer bc the music was so good that night.

I was eighteen back in June 2000 when bought Love It to Death - my first ever Alice's album. I was a long-haired student in a leather jacket who just finished his first year of a shitty provincial university. I was out of money, I lived in a tiny old house with my grandparents, I had no girlfriend and of course I did not know what I wanted. But hey, I liked it! Now it is June 2020. I am thirty-eight. I am an accomplished professional in an expensive suit, I live in an upmarket apartment, I have a nice job with a decent pay check, I am married a beautiful woman and (most of the time I think) I know what I want. But gosh, somehow, I hate almost everything about it and dream of running away in outer space or even further beyond. Apparently, this is what they call middle-age crisis...

I was in elementary school when he did these songs and shows. I'll be 60 in August & still love listening to him. I have several albums because they were given to me by a friend in elementary school. Her brother was being deployed to Nam for the war. I cherish these albums.
