I live near George Floyd square and was at a protest. It was peaceful, mostly signs and people coming together to mourn the loss of a great man and stand up against racism. It didn’t become a riot until police showed up to the peaceful protest, people were angered and the police only fueled it by shooting rubber bullets and tear gas. I got a wicked bruise in the chest from a rubber bullet as well. Anyway, the police shouldn’t have shown up, it would have remained a peaceful protest.
