The NHS deleted key excerpts from its website stating monkeypox is:
"usually a mild illness that will get better on its own without treatment" and....
"it's very uncommon to get monkeypox from a person with the infection because it does not spread easily between people."
They also added an isolation requirement.

    • @tommasopento4211
      @tommasopento4211 Před 2 lety +51

"Treatment for monkeypox aims to relieve symptoms. The illness is usually mild and most people recover in 2 to 4 weeks.
But as monkeypox can spread if there is close contact, you will need to be isolated if you're diagnosed with it.
You may need to stay in a specialist hospital, so your symptoms can be treated and to prevent the infection spreading to other people."
This is what I read from the NHS website. It still says the sickness is usually mild. They introduced the isolation part because they don't want this thing to get out of hand and removed the fact that it does not spread that easily because we are seeing much more infections than usual, and also community transmission, so something has changed in the way the virus is passed from people to people

Where is the peer reviewed journal articles showing mode of transmission?
I’m not automatically convinced that exhaled breath could transmit because the quantities in lung fluid are likely to be very low. It doesn’t replicate in airways. Also, the alleged illness doesn’t involve coughing & sneezing, usually accepted as required for transmission of respiratory illnesses.
So I am asking Dr Campbell to challenge the aerosol transmission claims.
What’s the mode of transmission of other skin illnesses like chickenpox?
Obviously this isn’t his determination, he’s reporting what he’s read elsewhere.
    Best wishes

It seems funny to me that there are so many cases coming up suddenly, but the same with Covid they might have been there already.
Whatg I mean to say in that sense is that there isn't a media frency about it. It was a topic on the national news once, advising everybody to look out for these symptoms on other people that they very closely mean to interact with it and that was it.
And again as he has said, the advise Dr. Campbell gives is not medical advise, that is for your doctor to give. He merely tries to digest the recent developments to the best of his abilities and he may be (and has been) at fault.

Here is the information we need to know right now:
What is the prognosis with Monkey Pox? You mention that it can be transmitted outside of sexual contact, but how much is that currently happening in what we are seeing? How long has Monkey Pox been around and do we have any treatments?
I ask these question because I already know the answers to them and while the mainstream media is presenting this as the next big pandemic, the American people need to know that this is not particularly outside the norm, there are many treatments for the symptoms of Monkey Pox and, while there aren't treatments for the pox themselves, they are largely not fatal. They can lead to secondary infection such as pneumonia, which can cause complications and death, but that is not typically the case.
In short, there are relatively few cases outside of Africa, but there typically are each year. We aren't particularly seeing more cases than we would expect to be seeing, so all of those years of never having heard of Monkey Pox just demonstrate that we are hearing about it now due to politics, not due to some great new health emergency. In all honestly, go about your regular daily routine and don't worry about it any more than you did last year or for the last 10 years. If you do get a strange rash, report it to the doctor as you would have any other year and, if by some extreme misfortune it turns out to be Monkey Pox, he will provide medicine to deal with the symptoms and it will most likely run its course in a matter of 2-3 weeks.
Oh, and find out the politicians who are pushing this and vote them out of office because they are doing so in an effort to control the election process. They will be pushing for universal mail-in voting again and while I have no claim that universal mail-in voting stole the election in 2020, anyone who thinks that 2020 was the most secure election ever simply wasn't paying attention as there were all sorts of anomalies. If you see media sources trying to get you to panic over Monkey Pox, all I can do is recommend finding other sources to get your news.

Monkey pox has two versions or clades. One clade is found in the Congo basin in the Democratic Republic of Congo (previously known as Zaire) and the other clade is found in West Africa. The clade that is currently in the U.K. and elsewhere is believed to be the west African clade, possibly from Nigeria. This clade has a case fatality rate of less than 1% hence is a mild disease for the vast majority of people. The Congo clade has a case fatality rate of around 10% and hence is more serious.
      pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3036967/ discusses the DRC clade
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6131633/ discusses monkey pox in general.

I had chickenpox when I was 8 and I think it lasted for a week, most of my friends had it and passed it on to me before they showed signs and symptoms. I wasn't vaccinated against chickenpox, neither was my brother, he only had a few spots and didn't show any feverish signs. I found it baffling that some kids and adults get chickenpox a second time round, as I've been around kids who had chickenpox (without knowing) and I never caught it again. I'm not necessarily an anti vaxxer, it was my parents that were anti everything, as I believe some vaccines are probably important, but for chickenpox... I don't know.
