Guys... I don’t care how meaningful they are.... I do not care about lyrics. The fact that they’re meaningful is not going to make me want to react to them unfortunately. I am here to listen to the music production and comment on the sounds I’m hearing. There are many other reactors out there that will read lyrics but that’s not me I want to concentrate on chord progressions and sequences. It’s music ... not a book. While I’m trying to read words and understand the meaning I will miss a small intricate part of the music or her vocals and that’s no worth it to me, especially since lyrics don’t appeal to me in the first place. One of the things I love about listening to Korean music is not understanding the words and just FEELING the sounds.
Yeah i can understand you, but IU’s lyrics always on top. After reaction you can read her lyrics so, you can understand me. She is a poetric women.
Totally respect that, fans are just saying that since one of the main thing for iu’s music is really the lyrics since she writes them herself

iu is so versatile. She does a lot of songs in a softer tone but she has a really powerful voice
The song is a love song to her fans, telling us that we are special in her eyes, and that WE are her celebrity. It asks us to know that we are loved. It’s a request to love ourselves. The MV, however, is the illustration of her journey of how she herself came to love herself. In the beginning she looks uncomfortable in the spotlight and she’s shown to be lonely in a crowd that’s faceless and anonymous. It’s constantly shown how she sees another version of herself, who is a stranger to herself. In the end, she follows this stranger/IU, only to find a mirror. It’s symbolic that this person she has been chasing all along was inside her all along. It’s a journey we’ve had a peek through her songs like 23 and Palette. Once she realized this, she’s able to smile in the spotlight, rather than feeling like she needs to hide from the press she was hiding from earlier. The message is poignant, in the wake of losing so many of her friend. She’s imploring her fans to love and cherish themselves as she’s learned to do herself.

NOW YOU KNOW WHY IU IS MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE FEMALE ARTIST! in her last 3-4 albums she got more and more involved in the writing and now she pretty much does her own thing, and you can see it both in the meaning of her songs and the MVs, they always tell a story that is very much relatable to her career and personality! She's got AMAZING collabs and just, each album she released is just pure gold! (for her music more than ever I suggest reading the lyrics on your own cause she has a way of storytelling that you simply cannot find anywhere else in Kpop!)
She has more mature songs, especially in her latest album like love poem and the visitor, actually the visitor is my all time fav IU song, unlucky is very entertaining to listen to

I absolutely love IU! I feel like she doesn't really follow trends, she just does her own unique thing. Her B-sides have a lot of subtle jazz influences or even old French pop music, it's so good

Some cool things to point out in the Blueming music video! Not sure if you pay attention to the music video at all but it was rly interesting to me so just putting it out there haha: the Blueming mv is meant to simulate text messaging! The earthquake at the beginning represents the vibration of a text notification. In her mailbox ull notice a grey gift, which represent a text (on an iphone), then she paints it blue and sends it back (which is just texting back). Then at the very end they finally meet in person :)
Btw, not telling u to watch the lyrics (I totally respect that u find music production more interesting than lyrics!) but I just wanted to point out a detail in the video that was interesting to me :)

Palette is such a good song! And it’s a real contrast to her song 23! It feels like a sequel in a way. She talks about being 23 in the song ‘23’ and talks about being ‘25’ in palette.
IU's voice is just so so soooooooo pretty :3 my fave song is 'above the time' literally cried the first time I heard it and still can't get over it! So sorrowful yet soothing and super sweet sounding. Would like to recommend it to you (obviously you don't have to react to it or listen to it, but thought i'd recommend it :3 )
My first time listening to Celebrity. I didn’t realise this song came out but wow so good. When Blueming came out I fell in love and I don’t usually listen to her songs. I’m glad you did this reaction. IU is a legend in kpop. She’s so talented. I hope you check out more of her stuff even if you may not prefer her style of music but there’ll be some songs that will appeal to you.

I really don’t care about lyrics sorry, even if they’re meaningful. I’m here to listen and to analyse the music and sounds .... if I’m experience listening to something for the first time the lyrics are a distraction to me.

Personally, I really love Eight. It’s probably my favorite of her songs I’ve listened to.
The musicians that record and play for her on her arena tours are all outstanding And almost all come from a jazz background. Her" guitarists, Jukjae and Jehwi do "a lot" of arrangements and compose. One of her main keyboardist Hong Sojin does the same and she "acts as a concert-master at some of her gigs. 2 of the 3 above also plus the drummer gig and record for Crush and Sam Kim.

Also 29! And I've been an IU fan since 2010. Her music is amazing and so diverse! Highly suggest you check out some of her other title tracks, but also her bsides. Some of my favorite IU songs (title tracks and bsides) are: Jam Jam, Twenty-Three, Black Out, The Visitor, Ending Scene, Can't Love You Anymore, Through the Night, Love of B, Between the Lips, Obliviate, and Zeze (check out the special clip of this one). Also, I think you'd like some of her remake songs like Sleepless Rainy Night and Last Night Story 💕💜. Highly suggest those if you're looking to go further down into IUs music history 🔥 If you do. Her breakout/early stuff has a very theatrical sound to it (Good Day, You and I, The Red Shoes). IU's always uniquely been herself and does what she wants with her music, so I respect her a ton.

I’m still really néw to Kpop since I mainly only follow TWICE. But even I know that this lady is a powerhouse in the industry. I watched a video that listed her as one of the wealthiest artists in Korean entertainment. Mainly because she owns all of her own music. 💜💜
u guys gotta watch her dramas she is one of koreas best actresses in my opinion 2.nd after Park Bo-Young but only by a hair, she is amazing.
