Normal Reference Range in Males is 3.5 to 7 mg/dL & in Females is 2.5 to 5.5 mg/dL . Uric cid normal range , metabolism and Interpretation of increased uric acid in the presence of or in the absence of gout symptoms are discussed in the video.
High Uric acid levels in the absence of symptoms is not recommended except in the following conditions
1. Persistent uric acid values greater than 13 mg/dl in males and greater than 10mg/dl in females.
2. Patients who are about to start with chemotherapy.
3. Patients with increased urine uric acid values of greater than 1100mg/day.

If the peroson u are talking about is a male . It is a normal value. Pain due to in teased uric acid will be limited to the greater toe only . Speak with ur doctor to rule out other causes

U need to understand that uric acid is the by-product of DNA present in your cells. U can't flush out all the uric acid . U just need to control the levels medically if they are high

Value of 6.9 is definitely high in case of females. If your doc said that u need some medicine , that might be based on your age , past medical history, current clinical history , physical examination and various risk factors.

Uric acid metabolism is different in different people . One set of people are Over producers ( produce more uric acid) other Under secretors ( excrete less uric acid in urine ) .People who tend to produce more uric acid are the most common and zyloric will inhibit a key enzyme which produces uric acid .
People with kidney failure also have more uric acid levels ( excrete less from the body), however other parameters like Creatinine and Urea will also be increased in them .
Creatinine is the most sensitive test for evaluating kidney function . Presence of a normal Creatinine absolutely rules out kidney problems .
Please follow what ur doctor says and continue what he prescribes.

Your doctor might have already evaluated for kidney problems while examination. The clincial presentation will be different in kidney disorders .
