I’ve been using iPhone with gimbal and just bought pocket 3 few days ago.
Having dedicated video camera with gimbal is game changer for me!

Great video, but in backlit situations the iphone has that terrible green dot lensflare moving all over on the screen. Strange that it was not mentioned as a weak point.
Those lens flare is very annoying! I can't believe he didn't point out all of that...

As always, a well-executed and used comparison.
One thing that stood out to me was how much better the Pocket 3 seems to be at controlling lens flare. It’s quite distracting in some of your low light iPhone shots. The DJI suffers little to none of it.

Best comparison would be to include the microphone with the iPhone native. It does not allow an auxiliary microphone where the creative kit comes with a microphone interesting is that I can use my DGA microphone with my iPhone and the black magic app and I get the best of both worlds, I plan to use both

Well - it depends. That setup could do everything you need but of course the Osmo Pocket 3 is much smaller than iPhone+Gimbal

iphone 15PM is the best phone camera for video, but DJI is created on dedicated purpose! and the price is less than half of the iphone.

If you intend to do a lot of vlogs or to mainly film yourself get the Pocket 3 - in all other cases the iPhone could be a good alternative

Mhhh :-) Buy a Cheaper, good Phone as the Samsung S23, Pixel 7 or maybe 7a in a good Trade and the Pocket 3 and safe easy 300-400 Euro. Then you have good Phone with "nice camera too" and a great Video Product :-D

Within the price of Iphone you get huge memory,an audio recorder,a quality Photo camera,a phone,and autonomy,anything you just filmed might be immediately uploaded to Icloud or transferred to any other Apple device.If you go by what you get for the price,there is no doubt Iphone wins

@@graphguy the sensor quality and color science on the iphone is better...the pocket just does not look as good as recent smartphone cameras, and never did. even a hero 12 is better than the pocket in image quality
THESE SIDE BYE SIDE VIDS ARE DO NOT GOOD NO ONE HAS EVER HELD THE CAMERAS IN THE SAME SPOT ALWAYS ONE CAMERA IS FARTHER AWAY OR TOO LOW NEVER THE SAME IMAGE TO KNOW FOR SURE ONLY WAY TO KNO IS DO A VLOG WIT 1 THEN DO ANOTHER WIT THE OTHER WHICH EVERY PIC LOOKS BETTER ITS OVA
All the shots were taken from the same distance - the field of view of the Pocket 3 is just wider (than the main iPhone lens)

I own both & make vlogging content & trade based content. The pocket 3 takes the crown in every way. Being able to record yourself with the pocket 3 and see yourself using the screen plus having your phone become a wireless monitor is amazing.
