      He’s one of the best goalkeepers ever imo.Oh and Peter schmeichel is also decent I guess.

      During the Euro's 92 that danish team one time went to play mini-golf instead of the planned training, another time on their way they stopped at a McDonalds for dinner. After beating The Netherlands in the semifinal, their wifes and girlsfriends were lodged with the players.

    I think this tournament should be studied, it shows that often teams over prepare for tournaments and ending up stressing and tiring the players out, whereas going into a tournament with little preparation and no expectation can do wonders

    I might be somewhat biased, because I am danish and it was the summer of my life, but... never ever have I seen a goalkeeper playing 90 minutes on the level Schmeichel did in that final in 1992. Germanys XG, had it been a thing back then, must have been like 4.0! INCREDIBLE performance by Schmeichel, who pulled out at least a handful of magic saves on absolute sitters during that game.
    Denmark played with passion and spirit in this tournament, and they defeated France, the reigning european champions of Holland, and the reigning world cup champions of Germany on the way to the trophy. No easy feat!

      ​@Greenfields 12 Van Basten was doing a bit better then in 88, he was more involved in the game to save it for the final and he was not injured by this point.

    England haven't conceded a goal and Denmark aren't great going forward. On paper this should be easy but Denmarks unity and workrate could prove tricky.

      @@TheKingofhighbury they lost to Finland when they were still in shock because of Eriksen's situation, and also missed a lot of good chances in the fist half. Then were all over Belgium in the first half but when De Bruyne came on he put on a great performance to win the game for Belgium.

      Denmark play 3 at the back with 2 wingbacks, which is understandable when they are not stacked in multiple positions. On the other hand England are stacked, yet they still play with 4 at the back with 2 DM’s for cover. Easy win? No tight game, yes. Denmark win? Yes.
