Xaver Varnus' first piano teacher was Emma Németh, one of the last pupils of Debussy. He has played virtually every important organ in the world, including those in Bach's Thomaskirche in Leipzig (2014), Berliner Dom (2013), Notre-Dame (1981), Saint-Sulpice (2006) and Saint-Eustache (1996) in Paris, National Shrine in Washington, D.C. (1985), and Canterbury Cathedral (2004), as well as the largest existing instrument in the world, the Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia (1985). His Quadruple Platinum Disc winning album "From Ravel to Vangelis" (SONY, 2007), is the best-selling organ CD ever. As a Canadian citizen, Xaver Varnus resides in Berlin, and in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia Peninsula, where he opened Varnus Hall in a 19th century church. "Put simply, Varnus is a monster talent, every bit as stimulating and individual as the late Glenn Gould" (The Globe & Mail, Canada's National Newspaper). I love this composition, I grew up playing it on piano.
I've learnt to play it on the piano myself too after Xaver uploaded a video of this piece before 😀. I've played it so many times now that i can play it blindfolded.

I have the Hauptwerk sampleset of this pipe organ, but it's still quite difficult to make it sound the same as the real one. Like a decade ago I had the opportunity to play a few notes on this organ during a demonstration, quite nice 😀. 32' low C puts out some air pressure in the hall. Nice piece, playing and recording! I couldn't believe 2 people next to me in de audience didn't come back after the break, while i spend like a 500,- to go there every year 😂. Different minds...
В FL- studio можно подобрать любой тембр органа...Этот звук Органа Величественнен,но немного резковат...Мне больше нравяться Тёмные похоронные звуки органа.🕯⚜️☠️➕️🎹🎇➕️☠️🌙➕️⚜️🕯
@@larionttFruity Loops is quite a bit different level from Hauptwerk 😉 Hauptwerk costs like a 1000 euros + samplesets. Like all major home organs use Hauptwerk these days.

Azért ez élőben sokkal ütősebb volt. Az orgona dinamikáját és a frekvencia tartományt a CZcams nem igazán tudja visszaadni.
Though i appreciate the directional microphones which don’t pick up all the coughing from the audience so much. Live in the hall i’m trying to feel the chord progressions and then someone goes UCHE 😅 It’s disturbing. Then I often doubt whether the cough couldn’t have been solved in some less loud manner. People seem to just don’t care they’re disturbing 2000 other people and the performance with their throat itch.
