Porsche 991.1 GT3 ***DIY - Install LWB Carbon Buckets from a 991.2 GT3*** - Airbag Light ON FIXED

Found a used set of 991.2 GT3 LWB Carbon Buckets and installed it on my 991.1 GT3. Removed the original 18 way sofa seats. This swap guarantees that it triggers the airbag light.

Is the procedure the same for the 4 way and 14 way seats?

as far as the wiring and installation goes when switching to LWB, yes.. same procedure. There's good chance the airbag light will be triggered as well.

I saw a thread where the original passenger seat occupancy sensor needs to be transferred to the replacement bucket seat.

@@kevinscarlett5703 that's one way of doing it as it's already been coded and calibrated/setup on the ecu. I believe introducing a new unknown occupancy sensor will mostly likely needs to be recoded and recalibrated. It's not plug n play as many suggest.
