I saw Manson back on the Antichrist Superstar tour at the height of the protests and riots over him. An incredible time in his career to say the least. Should go back and react to some of his old live stuff.

no way so I'm in Jersey for the Antichrist Superstar tour that whole f****** concert was amazing everything was crisp clean and just punching you in the chest with bass and loudness.
I was there for it in Florida, and YES, it was absolutely amazing!!!!
I saw that tour too, in 1997. I was amused at how some cities were banning them, and yet what I saw was just a damn good rock concert. The only controversial this I saw was some girls burning a bible outside of the venue. The pages he was ripping out of the book were blank. lol
I first saw him for the antichrist superstar tour and most recently saw him for the hellaluja tour. There was a huge difference in his voice between those shows.

Marilyn Manson is a weird artist for me, as I hate covers but every good song he has ever done is a cover. Sweet Dreams, I heard a Strawberry Fields cover, This is Halloween, and The Mash theme "Suicide in painless" My college room mate loved Manson so I heard all of his older stuff, at least, but these covers are the only songs I remembered, and have stuck with me over the years since.
Cry little sister and God's gunna cut you down are amazing covers as well and more recent. Check those out
The only thing Manson does as good as his own music are his covers for other songs. They're almost all very good.
I saw Manson perform Sweet Dreams before Smells Like Children came out, when they were touring with Clutch... And Sweet Dreams is still my favorite song they covered.

First saw Manson in 95 during the Smells Like Children tour. Always put on a great theatrical and engaging show. I think Antichrist Superstar was when they were at their best.

Man I love Marilyn Manson, but I've never really understood why this performance is so loved. I don't think it's a pleasant listen, just sounds very strained to me, but may just be my ears!

I saw Marilyn Manson cut his set short and storm off stage in 2013 because the crowd was chanting Slipknot as they were setting up for Slipknot on the stage next to him. There were 2 main stages right next to each other and yeah he chucked the shits big time when they started setting up for Slipknot and his crowd lost all interest in his performance

Hey, since you liked this one, you should take a look to the marilyn manson LA live in 2001, the "Beautiful people" and "Sweet dreams" songs in that performance are awesome, hardly recommend it!

Saw Manson at Cains Ballroom (Tulsa, OK where I'm from) for the Portrait of an American Family Tour. It was INSANE. But in regards to the spitting - at one point he yells "On the count of 3, I want all you f*ckers to spit on me!" then proceeds with the countdown. I was very near the front (thank you, steel-toed boots) and on "2", I hit the ground because....well, gross. But still, it was suchan amazing show.
