Thanks for sharing Miguel. I am not sure if you are aware of this but, It is possible to tether wirelessly to the Imaging edge Mobile app. I have been doing this with my iPad and works not bad. As specially with the A74!

@@tienphotographer just use the imaging edge mobile app to remote control your camera. Go to MENU within the app once connected, and scroll down until SMARTPHONE SETTINGS and turn On “Review Image” function. Now every photo you take will show up for review. If you have set your camera to raw files only, the raw files will be transferred and shown. But this takes several seconds until the picture is shown. I set my camera to shoot raw and smallest jpeg. In this case only the jpeg gets transferred and shown. The advantage is that the small jpeg shows up instantly. Hope this helps !

Another cool thing, well I thought it was, is with IE you can use the connected device to tell the camera to focus on a other subject in the frame. I do a lot of kitten photos in groups and my wife can act as an extra hand and quickly select another subject to focus on for me.

Hi Miguel, you mentioned 10-15 seconds to transfer a Sony A7M4 Raw file.
I use the same camera with WiFi direct using Imaging Edge to send Raw images (29 meg in 4:3 aspect ratio ) to Capture Ones hot folder and they open on my 2017 Macbook Pro in 3 to 4 seconds max, it's brilliant. 2Meg jpegs open instantaneously
I was hoping that by not having to use Imaging Edge to speed up this response, so C1 direct is much slower if they take 10 - 15 seconds, that's an awfully slow response I'm afraid to say.

    • @GiannisChas

So the wireless solution is 5-15 times slower? That's pretty ordinary! I shoot with USB on a 42mp Sony, and it takes almost 5 seconds for each to get transferred (not to Capture One though, to Sony Imaging Edge), so 5-15x slower would be a nightmare. Not a bad idea purely for a backup though.
