I prefere this version but this is a Belgian song, written by Lou Deprijck! The original song "Ça plane pour moi" (French pronunciation: [sa plɑ̃ puʁ mwa]) is a 1977 song by Plastic Bertrand.[2] The music was composed by Lou Deprijck. Yvan Lacomblez wrote the lyrics. Despite being credited to Plastic Bertrand, the vocals were actually performed by the record's producer Lou Deprijck.[3] "Jet Boy, Jet Girl", an adaptation recorded in November 1977 by Elton Motello, has the same backing track. The song was covered by many artists, though Plastic Bertrand's original recording was the most successful, reaching No. 8 on the UK charts in the summer of 1978.[4][5] While mainly regarded as a punk song,[1] "Ça plane pour moi" has also been described as parody punk[6] and as new wave.[2]

Can you tell what's on my mind?
She's with him, it drives me wild
I'd like to hit him on the head
    Until he's dead
The sight of blood is such a high
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    He gives me head
We made it on a ballroom blitz
I took his arm and kissed his lips
He looked at me with such a smile
    My face turned red
We booked a room into the Ritz
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    He gives me head
    Jet boy, jet girl
Gonna take you 'round the world
Jet boy I'm gonna make him penetrate
I'm gonna make you be a girl
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    Jet boy jet girl
And though I'm only just fifteen
I like to kick, I like to scream
And even if I have a kick or two in bed
When I'm with him it's just a dream
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    He gives me head
    Jet boy, jet girl
Gonna take you 'round the world
Jet boy I'm gonna make him penetrate
I'm gonna make you be a girl
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    Jet boy jet girl
The other day, what a surprise
I saw him with some other guys
    God he was dressed up
With a girl around his neck
I could have cried with both my eyes
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    He gave me head
And if or when I make it through
Or if my brain is stuck on glue
And when the world tries to forget
    All that I've said
    I'll still remember you
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    You gave me head
    Jet boy, jet girl
Gonna take you 'round the world
Jet boy I'm gonna make him penetrate
I'm gonna make you be a girl
    Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo
    Jet boy jet girl

Canwebreakit1, You made me second guess myself so I did some research. There are conflicting sources regarding this. But the backing track was recorded at a studio in Belgium under the direction of Lou Deprijck, whose vocals are on Ca Plane (although that has been disputed). I think Deprijk is given credit for writing the music (the page I was looking at was in French - the translation said he was credited as the "artist").
The wiki page on Elton Montello, says the backing tracks were recorded first and English and French lyrics were written around the same time. The French lyrics by Roger Jouret, the English by Alan Ward (singer for Elton Montello).
I think Jet Boy, Jet Girl was released first, but I can't be sure about that either. Some sources say Elton Montello recorded it first, some say Plastic Bertrand.

Thank you for posting this! It's important to point these things out! I believe the Captain's version was recorded during the Damned's first breakup after the second LP. Since then, the band has played it in many live sets, but have never made a studio recording of it. The studio recording (this one) was from a 7" single the Captain did with the Softies as a backing band. The confusion comes from this version appearing on Damned collection records (usually with "Captain Sensible & the Softies" in extremely small type in the liner notes).

It seems there's a lot of needless hostility in some of the posts below ..
I think it's pretty clear the original song is not an 'interpret it how you like' number .. I believe a French radio station was fined after playing it as it was seen to condone (or encourage) an older man having sex with a minor.
.Plastic Bertrands hit version over the same backing track is still my favourite ( & J Strummer rated it) I think the Captain may have covered it partly due to the title ( New York dolls reference).
When I saw Chron Gen in 81 it seemed odd a band ( with a name like Gen X) had released a cover version of Capt Sensibles version of a track made famous by Plastic Bertrand using his own take of the same (musical) version of a record that had already been released with different lyrics .....a case of 'pop will eat itself?'
