  • Guess the ELO - cubing edition! Or GeoGuessr idk. Saw this idea from Archit a while ago and thought why not give it a go :)

Nice concept! Would be even more interesting if we could see the footage of a real filmed solve after you guess the reconstruction! Maybe you could continue this as a series with people sending you their reconstructions?

A more fun version imo is guessing the person. So do it with famous/fast cubers.

eocross is actually better for twohanded solving and is seen as the main way to do zz in the modern era because it removes the d layer blindspots (improving lookahead) and allows F2L to be dominated by highly ergonomic R U* R' style triggers. eoline is still seen as an option for onehanded because it has slightly lower movecount.

the zz-ct solver likely ignores the red/green pair intentionally- even though it's "free," it's the FR pair, which the solver is probably used to leaving last to allow for consistent TSLE and TTLL (rather than having to mirror algorithms, rotate, deal with ADF, etc)

I'm pretty sure ZZers favor EOcross for two handed solving. EOline is still good for OH.

I think you should look at stm for move count since slice moves are counted as 2 moves for the number you showed

Nice, this can be pretty fun. The first solve is the hardest one for sure, basically anybody sub10 could have done that solution, it just depends on look ahead and TPS.
ZZ-CT is ZZ but you insert the edge into the last F2L slot, orient LL with the F2L corner facing up, place it at UBL, then one alg to solve the rest. Well it didn't look exactly like ZZ-CT to me because the solver went straight into solving the last pair, without first inserting the edge. Maybe they knew it would skip.

probably just the TSLE alg also happened to solve the pair
