What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
ASMR videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more.

I just enjoyed a creepy shave at the all new Margaret's Salon. It was a screaming good time.My hand was pretty dry and flaky between my 1st and 2nd claw which Margaret spotted it right away. The moisturizing did wonders making me feel like I could really strangle someone without getting unsightly skin flakes on their shoulders, and who doesn't enjoy a good douching? The shave was the cleanest closest I have ever received, and upper lips and cheeks are overrated anyway, who needs 'em. Margaret's Salon is a lockdown! She has prices that will drive you crazy! I can not restrain my excitement! I give it 4 out of 5 insane moans.

It's been 8 Years now and I'm still waiting for a Margaret Salon near me so I don't have to take a plane just to get my lip shaved
This was the first ever ASMR video I had ever seen before I even knew that ASMR was a thing. I ended up looking up other ASMR videos and was really disappointed they were nothing like this video. So this was either not a very good way to be introduced to ASMR or this was the absolute best way to be introduced to it.

i was like “i want to watch an ER video, what did i watch way back when i first found him? oh yeah, that Margaret video” so i started typing in the search bar and heard the part from Phoenician Sailor’s song as i typed out “Margaret”, and then the video opened with that and i somehow remembered all the words, even though it’s been years since i watched this particular video. i didn’t realize how much i missed the song 😊
lately it’s been the Relax by the Fire and the Skyrim Character Creation videos that i’ve been watching most nights, besides a couple Cap Bailey videos to supplement so those two don’t lose their magic. there are others too, i just love everything ER puts out. i would guess that, over the past 6 years, most of those nights have ended with an ER video. still can’t believe it’s been at least that long. oh and the cutting mat video! the one with the two versions, medicated and unmedicated! god there are too many to list, but these are the big ones

Kindnapped is also amazing. and i loved the Rush Hour vid. and also there’s one particular Minecraft video that’s super great. and anything with Corvus or Dave. literally anything with Corvus. Ethan Pineapple is surprisingly good to fall asleep to, considering the literal axe. these are just rolling out of my brain, i keep remembering more. The Art Of Quiet, i require headphones for that full experience. Uncle E’s hand movements are also purely perfect, with the pacing of his voice and the hands. that one video with young Professor Clemmons, before all the craziness happened and he was just a young guy with a pregnant wife who liked the theatre. oh and you can’t forget Kevin! Kevin and his blocks with the whispered R’lehyan (i know i spelled it wrong), or any video with that almost-words mumbling-type sound, so good
i could truly keep going for a while, but wanted to show my appreciation for Uncle E, Paul, Ephemeral Rift himself, and all that he does, what an influence on my life he’s been. tickling my theorist senses with the whole story behind everything, but mostly just helping me sleep. so glad to have you still here and thriving after all these years, Uncle E! to as many more as make you happy! we’ll always have hundreds of videos to fall back on if you decide it’s best to stop making videos, but i sincerely hope your enjoyment continues for a long while. i look forward to the different hair and facial hair styles that will continue! (oh man the shaved head i knew at the beginning to the long hair long beard from more recently, so different but all work so well)
