Well, I'm just glad to see Hiruzen more involved in Naruto's life.
I always figured that it was his age. Either memory issues or his chakra was no longer able to perform the justu any more. Through my main guess was the memory, dementia slowly coming in or something similar.

Forgetful I can believe considering how utterly taxing and rarely used the technique itself was used up until Naruto started spamming it, plus his work as the Hokage n all taht. But I refuse to believe he was senile or just didn't see its uses considering he was taught by the 2nd Hokage who invented the technique himself. Plus, he can use it himself! It just.. seems too dumb to overlook.
@@LongTran-kp3kz honestly the only other theory I have on why he never used the justu was that the author forgot to include/ invent the justu abilities till Naruto was trying to improve the rasegan with wind release

Alternative Title: What if Naruto was obssessed with reviving his clan?
Summary: Naruto gets taught by Sarutobi. He becomes smarter, stronger, and better. Learns the history of his clan then the name of his dead mom. Proceeds to throw a tantrum and running away. Gains obssession towards reviving his clan. Kills bandits thanks to a powerup that came out of nowhere when he stupidly crippled his battle power. Proceeds to return to the village with Kakashi and blowing up on Sarutobi while being in denial that the old man had a valid reason to hide his lineage... this time.
Overall: Naruto is a brat in this story that is obssessed on reviving his clan. Sasuke 2.0!

I'd love to hear a story/fic in wich naruto intentionally fails kakshis test to get assigned a different team. It makes no sense to stuff a potential op naruto into the regular team 7
Oh, this is a bit of a misconception, but one that's honestly pretty easy to make... but Konoha isn't exactly a military dictatorship. Generally speaking, the Hokage 'is' elected/chosen for the office so long as the hit the right requirements and while it is true that the Hokage, as leader, can issue decrees on the spot at the situation dictates, they still can't just ignore the will of the people and rule unilaterally without giving a fuck. That's one reason why clans have so much sway and privilege and why the council even exists as a governing body at all.
To be more specific, Konoha, and most Shinobi villages in general, would be better classified as a stratocracy, or a military run government. Civilians only have as much power as they do despite it being a shinobi village because they are 'allowed' to have those freedoms. They aren't guaranteed unless explicitly spelled out as such within Konoha law. I mean, you still need to be shinobi to lead the village and shinobi are, for all intents and purposes, the main military forces of the nations their Hidden Villages reside in despite effectively acting as a defacto city-state as is. Their main source of income and what drives their economy is war and the mercenary trade. It's basically the ninja/narutoverse smaller scale version of Outer Heaven put into practice from Metal Gear Solid in a lot of ways.
