Two clubs that won 14 Polish champions each. Two clubs whose fans hate each other. The last such match between these teams at this stadium took place in 2009. There will be over 30,000 home fans and over 4,000 visiting fans.

As a polish guy, I am very proud to have a title like this, I never actually appreciated and realized how much of an event a normal football match actually is, I just thought it was normal, but I guess not and honestly it's amazing how much of an atmosphere we have during football matches, shout out to all my poles!

In Poland, there are still derbies worth checking out, namely the Tricity Derby between Arka Gdynia and Lechia Gdańsk, in the second tier of the Polish league. I think the atmosphere of the upcoming derbies will be amazing 🔥🔥

As a Legia fan I hate both ŁKS and Widzew, but I'm very proud of our football culture in Poland. It's always good to see a derby game with 2 teams that have a strong fan base like in Łódź. That's something that we miss in Warsaw since the city is completely dominated by Legia. Good to see you enjoying our country and keep up the good videos💪

Unknown? It’s one of the biggest local derby in Poland. Only Kraków derby can be compared to that, nothing else.

Good to mention that this match was 70. Derby of Łódź and this is the first time in over 100 year history in which one of the teams has derby streak of 3 wins - it never happened before.
ŁKS first choreo: banner at the bottom of the stand says "Ciągle trwa ta miejska gra" which means "the city game continue" (referring to both firms fighting in the streets I think), then in the main choreo on the left it says "W Łodzi bez zmiany ŁKS Pany" which can be loosly translate "There's no change in Łódź - ŁKS are still lords" and on the right "Nie zaczynaj grać jeśli boisz się porażki" which means "Don't start playing if you are afraid of defeat"
Widzew's choreo: The banner says " Odpalamy ogień na nowo" which means "We ignite the fire anew"
ŁKS second choreo: The banner says " W centrum Łodzi sprawa jasna łódzki k.s. władcy miasta" wihch can be translate as "In the center of Łódź, the matter is clear, ŁKS are rulers of the city" then in the choreo in the middle there is Łódź's coat of arms in ŁKS's colours and on both sides are logos of two groups of ŁKS fans from the city center.
It seems you forgot "Wynik gry jest znany ŁKS pany" (it means "The game's score is known ŁKS are the lords")

Hi there! A native Polish speaker here to translate the banners. My fellows already did so, as I am pretty sure of that, but well. One more won't hurt, yeah?
2:37 This one is "Ciągle trwa ta miejska gra", which means "This city game still lasts".
3:46 This banner says "Miejska gra"-"City game".
4:04 Here, you have "Wynik gry jest znany" and "ŁKS pany" on one side, and that is "The game's score is known" and "ŁKS the lords" (as you can easily guess, ŁKS is one of the clubs). On the other side, you got "Nie zaczynaj grać, jeśli boisz się porażki", which translates to "Don't start playing if you fear failure".
7:46 The banner with text below the huge banner has "W centrum Łodzi sprawa jasna - łodzki K.S. władcy miasta" on it. In English it would be "In the center of Łódź the case is clear - the Sports Club of Łódź are the lords of the city".

Lodz isn't the most dangerous city in Poland, that's Krakow. Real ones know and also know why: Captipal city of knives (thanks to Cracovia and later on Wisla who had to adapt that style). In general Polish people are good people and as long as you don't wear kits of other teams most of them accept you in the stadium (unlike in several countries where you see people go in Barcelona or Real Madrid stuff going to see a footballmatch that is not either one of those). And as said before maybe some more history about the city, derby (in this case it is one) and teams/fans.
Krakow is the most dangerous city in Poland - I agree 💯 % Łódź is actually a very cool city. I come from Poznan region but studied in Łódź ❤and l love the city. I visited Krakow 2 years ago and l didn’t feel safe at 22:00 in the market square. Gangs of youths roaming around screaming and cursing. I visit Łódź every year and walking in Piotrkowska Street at 2:00 a.m. at the weekends is the safest place to be.
LOL. Kraków isn't even in the top 10 of the most dangerous Polish cities.

come to Poland and see the "tri-city" derby between Lechia Gdansk and Arka Gdynia. These are one of the most important derbies in Poland. even though the clubs play in the first league, the atmosphere will be amazing because both are fighting for promotion to the top league. the stadium in Gdansk is the most beautiful in Poland and Lechia fans are amazing. I recommend you to see it . the match will take place on the weekend of May 17-19 (exact date not yet known)
It's worth to mention that 1st League is 2nd division in Poland, if that was unclear
Arka is currently 1st and Lechia 4th, being 2 points behind Arka, so both clubs have a real chance of promotion (1st and 2nd place are promoted directly, places 3rd-6th do play-offs)
This match will be played in Gdańsk, I think the atmosphere won't be as visible as if the match was played in Gdynia, because Gdynia stadium has 15k seats, which currently suits perfectly for the club's needs, and Lechia stadium has 40k seats - it was built for international matches, and usually over half the seats are empty
As a casual Gdynia fan, I hope both clubs get promoted, and then it would be better to see the derby in Ekstraklasa

That's great atmosphere, but IMO you missed the most intense part is where fans are uniting and singing the national anthem, which usually happens on international matches. Watch the video, which is intense enough to give you a goose bumps.

I was in Łks Łódź stadium when they played with Lech Poznań
the 1st ŁKS banner meant The city game goes on and when they expanded it to the full size it said the games score is known: ŁKS rules in poland it rhymes and on the other side it had Hooligans sign and text dont start the game if youre scared of losing it which is a reference to the ŁKS Hooligans dominating widzew in the past few years with widzew not even getting into the fight.
You need to watch Widzew vs Legia on the 10th of the March in Lodz, one of the Polish football classics

Why are you said that tickets are sold out for weeks? On Lks you could buy tickets 1 week ago. On Widzew there is almost imposible as whole stadium is with seasonal tickets and you can only count that someone give you a code after he realease his place. Also Lks decided to close few sectors so not whole stadium was open :)))) Only with Widzew they had full/downsized stadium ;)))

I think you won't be able to attend, but you should see the oldest and most exiting derby in Poland - Górnik Zabrze vs Ruch Chorzów. Two silesian legends with history in European cups.
Compared to what it used to be, our streets are quite safe. Of course, I don't recommend anyone to walk anywhere at night on streets you don't know and don`t visit any "adult" clubs alone - I think this rule applies to every country. Our Polish football fans can be absolutely crazy, I have no idea where they become so radical. It's certainly fascinating to watch their enthusiasm, but it's better to do it from a distance for your safety ;).
