- Welcome to Amsterdam, I was so excited to finally pay a proper visit to this country and it did not disappoint. I totally fell in love with Amsterdam, it almost kicked my number one city off first place but I think it’s actually neck and neck with my number one Lisbon.

Wow, I love the streets with no cars and people staying fit just by walking.

You know, I wish the puffer jacket never got invented, everyone looks like caterpillars.
I went to a place called Schwerin I think, in East Germany, not long after the wall came down and there was a row of buildings, about 5 stories and they have gigantic flowers on the facade, maybe from the Art Nouveau era, amazing, so beautiful. So many people wanted to buy them, all dilapidated.
Like a daisy going up 5 stories, incredible.
That’s what I love about Europe, its age makes it very interesting.

Amsterdam is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I was moved that you made it to the Anne Frank home. It is such a historic city in many ways. Many places you walked, Van Gogh did great paintings of.

I just returned back home to Bermuda from Verona and Venice Italy ofn April 5th. I experienced an amazing shopping there! I definitely will have to return. Safe travels home!😂

Beatrice I used Gate 1 Travel and they arranged all the travel and hotels. The hotel in Amsterdam was NH City Centre, Amsterdam, Netherlands, it was perfect. Perfect location, service, staff every thing was great.

If one is a prude, Amsterdam isn't for you. Seemed more quaint. Was the approach to foreigners different between Paris and Amsterdam? I have heard from people I know that have gone to Paris say the locals aren't friendly to people from other countries. I saw you had an issue at the restaurant. That wasn't nice.Glad you had fun.
Parians are rude, Amsterdam everyone was amazing. They’re welcoming, completely different vibe from Paris.
