Sir Terry Wogan - A Put The Telly On Tribute

So here it is. I keep saying I'm never going to do another one of these but then.. Terry Wogan dies. This video shows just a mere 8 minute example of Wogan's warmth, wit and huge appeal and a blooper or two thrown in - afterall, he was one of those rare types who laughed at himself and never took himself too seriously. There were many more clips I could've included: his QI appearance, his turn hosting 'Buzzcocks', his ATV lunchtime show and more Blankety Blank but it would've gone on forever.
The music I've chosen is 'When You Are Old' as mentioned by Terry in his Gay Byrne interview and 'Imagine' by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra which is the instrumental track to Eva Cassidy's version, who he helped bring to public prominence. I tried to cheesily add a Eurovision clip at the line "or Brotherhood of man..." but it didn't work!
Like Jonathan Ross says, "there will never be another". Goodbye Sir Terry and thanks for everything.

I loved sir Terry especially when he got teased by Kenny Everett and when Kenny bent his Mike on blankley blank or whatever. I cry with laughter each time.

BBC Children in Need will never be the same again this year as Sir Terry Wogan won't be there to guide us all the way through the event. This year let's break all children in need records and raise millions in memory of Sir Terry Wogan
