Not sure about UK rules, but in the U.S. the regulations are written such that you can begin the missed approach at the DA with allowances for descending below the DA in the transition to the miss. It is literally a "decision altitude", but your momentum will carry you below since you are in a descent. THe MDA is a limit, however. Your video straightened a couple of things out for me on the G1000. Thanks.

And also, I am up in years and sometimes voices are hard to discern. Your, British Accent, I presume, is VERY EASY to hear and probably the most clearest English to understand.

Thanks. Finally, someone that knows what they are taliking about. RW pilot and IGI here. I fly Aerobask phenom 300 on vatsim a lot. Also own DA62 Aerobask. 172 g1000, da62 g1000, then phenom g1000 is a great pathway to learn. Similar to embry riddle. Sad to see so many use the airliners as first aircraft in sim. Take care

I needed that lesson of reselection of vnv mode within 5 miles because previously vnv never worked for me properly :) thanks.... Your explaination is really good

I wrote in my MANY notes, "BEST G1000 Training flight COMPLETE". Most of the items I needed better understanding of you hit on. I personally IRL do not fly with a G1000 but WHEN I DO, I want to ACE IT! Thanks so much.

At 46:28, right after the missed approach point, if you look at the left of the CDI softkey, a SUSPend soft key lights up, press that to activate the missed approach. Nice little shortcut :)

Excellent and articulate. I would decrease the sky view and zoom more on pfd and mfd. The focus is on g1000 so Scenery is not very important. Perhaps occasional orientation views outside. Just trying to get you more subs. Good luck

Thanks for the tutorial Ive started learning the G1000 and GTN 750 in X-plane after years of using PMDG Boeing and FSL Airbus in P3D. Its great fun flying the Hot start TBM900 with G1000

@@flightsim481 Thanks, Cheers, Brilliant! You were fighting your FD on the missed. Starting about 45:49 Hitting the AP button on the GFC700 just disconnects the servos and the FD keeps the same guidance, which is a flight path to land. On the Aerobask Phenom300 (Wow!), and most complex aircraft there is a TO/GA button that disconnects AP servos and goes into FD mode and pitches up with new guidance. On my Alpha yoke I have assigned a button to TOGA. Here is the Search criteria in X-Plane yoke assignment menu- sim/autopilot/take-off_go-around --Keep in mind the "Red Button" on most yokes is a complete AP disconnect that does not revert to FD mode. This is used when you want to land. The TOGA button is separate from this red button.
I own both the Hotstart TBM and Aerobask P300. The P300 allows one to fly all STARS/RNAV RNP Z approaches (which have joining waypoints without vectors). Whereas the TBM is a stretch sometimes due to high speed restrictions. Both great aircraft tho. Good Luck! Subscribed. Looking forward to more videos.
      Search for: sim/autopilot/take-off_go-around

Outstanding! thank you so much for this, your clear unhurried manner with all your explanations is a joy to listen to and extremely easy to follow along with. I followed your example from start to finish and it has taught me a lot, did I miss the long track off set though? So much so that I will definitely sub and watch again. Brilliant work, thanks.

The DA62 and Phenom 300 fit nicely on Air Manager touchscreen. Including keypads ap etc. Makes flying on vatsim much easier with little to none mouse/keyboard . Take care.inp

Once you leveled at the MDA (690) won't the auto pilot fly to the missed approach point?
