Welcome to the Greater Sydney Local Land Services Demonstration Farm, located just minutes from Richmond town centre and nestled along the beautiful Hawkesbury River in Dharug Country. This farm, with its rich history dating back to 1790, is now a vibrant centre for learning and showcases best practice farming techniques. Join Ben Azzopardi, Senior Land Services Officer and a third-generation farmer, as he takes you on a tour of our five-hectare farm, featuring training facilities, diverse pastures, and vegetable fields producing top-quality zucchinis, cauliflowers, and pumpkins for charity.
The farm also includes rehabilitated riparian zones that serve as a buffer along the river, home to various native plants and animals.
Our farm is more than just a demonstration site; it’s a collaborative hub partnering with industry bodies, educational institutions, research organisations, local councils, and Landcare to offer trials and best practice farming practices.
