As I sit here as a disabled person in my cold, rented flat, with bills soaring and the cost of living crippling me, I dont feel protected at all. It is not the responsibility of the Opposition to come up with policy or plans for the Country. Not until a General Election is called, when they put forward a Manifesto.
The Opposition Is responsible for holding the Government to account for their Manifesto pledges, and their governance. When the Prime Minister is criticising the Opposition for lack of policy, she is actually showing her own, and her parties, lack of respect for, and understanding of, the Parliamentary system.
Add this to Braverman's deranged Tofu rant, bring to the boil and then simmer until uprising takes place.

Liz called Union as militant? Really, for past 50 years, the productivity went up every year while the wages have stagnated in fact for past 10 years IT WENT DOWN. The funny thing is union members went slowly down while the rich got much richer.
Productivity has not gone up. It was 17% lower than in France and Germany even in 1980. There are many reasons for it and the unions are not militant, having been neutered by the Tories in the 1980s and Labour's failure to reverse anti trade union laws under Blair and Brown. Productivity is a huge issue the political class has failed to address, It is one of the reasons for relatively low unemployment because it takes two or three workers to do the work that one would be doing in France or Germany.
