The Boeing 747-8 is the last series of 747 to be made. The carrier Atlas Air flies cargo flights with some passenger charter; other news outlet said it was a cargo flight. Since it was an engine fire, the GE engines and Atlas Air maintenance records will be looked at more closely then the Boeing 74-8 air frame.
Is this the plane that had the door issue? There was footage last week from within the plane, the enbtire door came off and the passengers could see outside!!!! It was very scary.

That's an engine malfunction, they can shut down the engine and douse the fire. Not a massive deal, it'd just rare.

As one who has landed and taken off from miami international airport I can only say thanks god nothing happened,I lived like 5 minutes from the airport its a well populated area, the catastrophy would've been unimaginable 😮

At exactly 1.03 (go to 1:01 beforehand), that plane does an impossible sideways move. Forward momentum stops and it instantly moves sideways before it moves forward again. Anyone have an explanation for this?
