Black Patience: Performance, Civil Rights, and the Unfinished Project of Emancipation

On April 8 2024, the Zinn Education Project hosted Africana studies professor Julius B. Fleming Jr. to discuss his book "Black Patience: Performance, Civil Rights, and the Unfinished Project of Emancipation". Fleming reviewed the role of Black theater in the Black Freedom Struggle and the concept of “Black patience.”
