    Hey guys! I just wanted to take a moment to thank ya'll so much for always acknowledging my comments with a ❤ and letting me know that my voice is being heard. I recently dealt with a channel that I've been a paid member of for over 2 years completely ignoring me on several occasions and maybe I'm too sensitive or expecting too much but it hurt my feelings! Lol, I was surprised with how much it bothered me but it really did. Watching a lot of ya'll on a daily basis starts making things feel a little "family" (very loosely used term no funny stalker business 😆) like and to religiously watch a channel and get acknowledged is just great and not to be kinda sucks. I could just be sensitive like I said, but I HIGHLY appreciate the little things, they do make a BIG difference and u guys are good ppl! Thank u for all u do for ur CZcams "family!" ❤💚❤💚❤💚😊😊😊🥰

      Tessa, I try to heart them when I read them so people know I saw them, but I can certainly understand a bigger channel not being able to do that. Thanks so much for watching and for the nice words, appreciate it :)

      @@shedflips Well, u should know that it's VERY much appreciated! I get what u mean and I could understand with a bigger channel just not having the resources or time so I try to always give the benefit of the doubt but this channel isn't HUGE by any means and has very few long term paid members like me so it's very obvious in the chat and comments to identify those ppl and I just feel that they should take the time for just those few ppl but oh well, we never know what others are going through or experiencing in their lives so I won't dissect further I just wanted to let ya'll know, it's noticed and appreciated! :)

    This is a very helpful video, especially for new resellers as they often struggle to learn shipping. I do believe the Rate B ships at a 4lb rate unless they recently changed.

    I tend to comment on resellers channels when they discuss boxes because I get 80% of the boxes I use for free. I just got to Walmart and start throwing boxes in my card that the workers put in bins after they get done stocking product.

    Home Depot's Heavy Duty Medium is my go-to box. I can get 2 very solid, trustworthy mailers for 12" vinyl records out of one box and still have parts left over for shipping another 8-10 smaller media items (each flap can be a fold-over mailer for a 7"/CD/DVD).

    When I worked in dealerships we shipped old wheel weights to a guy who made fishing weights. A large flat rate usually came to about 50 pounds. But that only lasted until 2006 when a lfrb cost as much as a mfrb does now

  • @OriginalNethead
    @OriginalNethead Před 2 lety

    I use a ton of the 6x8 padded bubble mailers, but I'm mostly a jewelry seller. Or was until eBay caved the (search) roof in. Each piece gets a shipping container inside the envelope naturally, with plenty of padding inside. I tape over the label and the weak point at the top. Never had anything rip through yet.

  • @bettydarling2445

    I mail shampoo 2 packs in the 1096L box that I put inside a standard flat rate. It fits fine if you crease the bottom of the envelope first. Tough to make decent money doing that with free shipping but during lock down, I cleared out my couponing stash! Glad to see you selling big lots of shampoo and stuff. I think a few of my larger HBA lots went to campground stores

    The only box I buy are what we call large letter boxes, about the size of video game and they are like yours strong and sturdy as for the rest I've a good supply that I get from dominos and a local pet warehouse. To buy them would cost 0.50 pence per box, uk postable size and I am sure that being the lowest price you will get bad quality as well. I can if I buy in the 1000's get them cheaper but not willing to. I still get by with what I get and I pass the saving on to the customer but when I am frankensizing my 7th/8th box of the day I do wish I had handier boxes for sure!

    Great to see you both back on CZcams .....just a quick question when you are calculating shipping when you list an item do you add the price of the box and bubble wrap that you paid or do you see it as just being part of the service and you absorb those costs?
    Thanks for all great content :)

    • @XtraBees
      @XtraBees Před 2 lety +1

    • @shedflips
      @shedflips  Před 2 lety +2

      No i don't add any handling fee in usually. Those kind of expenses are paid for out of the sold price, like all other expenses (cost of goods, fuel, electricity, ebay fees, taxes, etc etc)

It would be so much easier to search when I cross post listings. My listings are set up where the listing dates are mixed. Is there anyway to fix it? Many thanks, Debra

    I found out I don’t like working with old used boxes…too much old tape and stickers…just takes me too much time to package…so I ordered some new boxes. For me using the USPS priority or unmarked Walmart shipping boxes (inexpensive) works well. I ordered a set of 12x12s from Ebay. I’m not handling a large volume like yourselves yet, but I definitely don’t like using pre-used boxes, personal preference probably.
    Yellowstone….been there 3 times, once in the summer and twice in the winter for skiing in Jackson Hole. The best time was paying a guide to take the group snowmobiling. I’ve stayed in Jackson Wy, and I’ve stayed in Cody Wy, it’s probably the best more remote real WY town and has all the Buffalo Bill sites and the Dam there. I drove across Wy from Sheridan up up up up through the Big Horn pass after visiting the Devil’s tower. If you do that drive, start in the morning because it gets so dark it’s quite dangerous on the 2 lane road down through the canyons. But an amazing drive.
