The last scene should have been kept in as it would explain Regina’s character arc and how she changes by the end of the film. Also the scale scene should have stayed just because it was a clever trick that they played on Regina and I always wondered why Regina didn’t just connect the dots that she was gaining weight (according to the scales). That scene would have filled that plot hole.
I think all the deleted scenes except for the bathroom one were a very good decision to not be kept in. They were funny but one of the biggest compliments about this movie is that everything that happens (besides the scenes) could actually happen. The other scene where her teacher was like “YOUR PARENTS GOT EATEN BY CANNIBALS” was also a good choice to leave out because it interrupted the emotional and tense atmospyere
I feel like the Aaron scene could’ve been put in. I feel like we really didn’t know much about him. Also, the part where Cady was going to apologize to Regina could’ve been in too. i think the reason why the dollhouse scene didn't stay in the film is because regina doesn't really state how she's changed from being the person who threw the dollhouse so her cousin couldnt have it to the person who's willing to give up a boy he didn't like but was dating to a 'friend'. it explains her character BEFORE learning her lesson, but it doesn't make a point of her new self. if the last line had been 'but that's just over, i guess', instead of 'but thats just me!' perhaps it would actually have had a closure. tho i do agree that's a very explicit insight of a big part of regina's personality! maybe if gretchen or karen had told that to cady or to someone around the middle of the movie when cady was flirting with aaron so the subtext would be 'dont mess with regina's boyfriend or else HE will suffer' it would have had an actual point! either way, the metaphor is excellent :) i wish they had found a proper place to put it so it would have made the cut

Party prep - funny but doesn't add much in terms of plot or characters. Cut is fine.
Cannibals! - funny but distracts from the moment's tone. Cut was deserved.
Delivering flowers - funny and explains how Regina fit into her dress. Should've been kept in.
After Mathletes - funny but doesn't add anything to the plot or characters besides dumping on Ms. Nordbury. Cut is fine.
At the dance - gives closure to the relationship and adds some character development. Should've been kept in!
Now, for the divisive question , is the word in question still a slur
@Sara Colon "Homosexuals" are called queer BECAUSE it means weird, aka that we're unnatural. It might not have been homophobic in this context but it would've aged poorly eventually, so I'm glad it was kept out.

Super cool that some of these scenes were important enough to be carried over to the musical, especially the bathroom confrontation scene it was one of my favorite parts when I went to go see the broadway version!

The Kalteen bar joke was great but I get why it was deleted. Cady going to visit Regina was the emotional catharsis of her character arc and the joke would have cut into those vibes.
I like the scene with the scale. It does explain why Regina didn’t notice she was gaining weight.
