I watched the Serbia vs Scotland match and I was calm, the entire way through. Even when they scored I was calm. Even when it went to penalties my heart rate stayed consistently low. For some reason I wasn’t worried, which is unusual given all the sh*t we’ve put up with with Scotland in the past. I just knew… not this time.

The problem with Wales and Scotland is their abilitys are over exaggerated by the media and fans so it is such a surprise when they play a decent team and hit a brick wall. If you look closer you could see both teams are just not that good from the very first game but ignorance is bliss until the inevitable happens, some people just can't cope with reality.

Wales are ahead of Scotland and have been for a few years now. Euro 2016 Wales beat Belgium to send them to the semi finals, Euro 2020 knocked out second round to a fierce Denmark and now Wales have qualified for the 2022 World Cup with arguably their best team yet. Looking forward to seeing how Wales do.
One difficulty for paterson is competing against Tierney and Robertson. Gilmore might well come into the frame. The challenge for him is the midfield is the strongest part of the team. I think he will get some game time.
