I made 200 000 pesetas a month in 1998 in Spain as a head chef... that is basically 300 pounds a week. Shocked to hear wages have been stagnant for 25 years... can't be right. This was after tax.
Last couple of years seen massive increases in food âŠ.cost of live ,but yes wages hasnât increased in line with inflation,so many people said when it was pesetas was great ,euro killed cheap Spain đȘđž
How easy is it to get residency
All depends on the which is best for you there are 3 types âŠgolden visa you will need money đ° buy property er âŹ500,000 invest in Spain stock market
Or you have the nomad can work here but the company needs to be outside Spain đȘđž most common non lucrative basically thatâs what they call the retirees cannot work here must have private pension unless you are over 66 have pension uk which you would be covered by the uk agreement have sufficient money in your own bank to live on âŠneed to check amount it was around âŹ33,000 each or have a pension paid in a Spanish account.
You can find all this information online âŠall with these you must have a clean criminal record đ

And whatâs wrong with the Irish đ Iâm English but married an Irish man, its well over now though after 38 years, but he was a good man we just drifted apart have different ways of doing things and we stayed best of friends too, he doesnât like the âïž I love â€ïž it he likes being with his mates Iâm not really into pubs but we both worked hard provided for our children now have grandchildren and itâs time to move on yaaa
The Irish are known for their drinking I married an Irish man so I know but he only goes out one day a week so not too bad but some of them are really bad for drinking and itâs a shame đł
