It's such a pleasure to see Ben's face and his style on this video !
I met Ben during a Surf Festival at home at Reunion Island (Manapany Bay Festival). I was in his heat but it was very opened to anybody I was not a high level contestant.
We talked well and he talked a lot with locals. Very very cool guy, with a contaminated smile.
Ben "kat' pat" 😉 maybe he remembers. I was the guy making video shoot in the water, at the time GoPros didn't exist.
Waves at the contest were not the ones he is used to ride. Not heavy. He is such a charger and his home was next to the zone. I think he got a good session at Saint Leu however.
A great personality, a very good guy !
