I'll never forget my 2nd time out at Pipe, first day waves were blown out and nobody in the water, Mike paddled up and started talking to me about how it's not that good. He thought I was a local since I was tan and half asian. Told him I thought it was fun, then he knew I wasn't a local and paddled away lol

Funny how u never really saw him ride prone early on in his career then he got a cover doing some ridiculous invert I remember but he is definitely by far and away more skilled then anyone right now dk and obviously really good prone too

I understand why I don’t like that. That inverted roll landing like scorpion is not risky for the one doing it, but more important, is not a nice or clean trick to watch. Switch to surf, wear a nice bikini, and you will get millions of views ….😂😂😂😂
