“Dogs incoming” that was terrifying in online WAW
"UNLEASH THE DOGS!" that quote will be in my memory for the rest of my life.
@@alexreznov45 Release the hounds
Ye I got so scared the first time I saw the dogs 😂
Yes lol
My favorite quote: "The savages send dogs to do their work"
Brothers in Arms trilogy is hands down my most favourite WW2 game. And i cannot believe it's been 12 years since the last main entry, i remember playing it when it released.
Don't you mean the BiA "duology"?
@@michaelandreipalon359 Bia 3 was realesed in 2014 for android, and ios
@@michaelandreipalon359
Road to Hill 30
Earned In Blood
Hells Highway
It's a trilogy.
@@michaelandreipalon359 there are 3 games not mention mobile games
@@gnarkillguch I prefer "duology" since HH wasn't a good BiA game to most fans.
Surprisingly missed: post scriptum, hell let loose, war thunder, and verdun.
buttery._. memes idk how you put world of tanks in here and not war thunder, they’re both free, but war thunder also has navel and aerial combat and the gameplay is a lot better and a lot less arcade-y
lmao HLL is dying. They already closed a lot of their servers. It was junk at day 1.
@@SeemzLegit454 lol, what are you talking about, try joining TeamDixx servers and enjoy the game. Also, probably the most dedicated devs out there.
@@michigan2974 i was thinkng of why WT is not listed but if you look at how the game is adverized today you woud think thats a game based around modern day stuff and to be fair nowadays the devs dont realy care about the ww2 aspeckt of the game as much
Stellarmayn HLL Is better than post script. since it feels like a reskinned arma
I’d love if “The Saboteur” would get a remake/remaster.
The Saboteur was my first platinum trophy. It took me forever to get the racing trophy ... my final trophy. And, the climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower to jump off revealed my fear of heights. One of my top 5 favorite story based games!
Yea! Would love this! One of my favorite games ever!
Medal of Honor used to be so damn good. I remember having to read through a dictionary to understand what I had to do in the missions since I couldn't speak English haha.
True
Allied Assault and Airborne were my favorites though.
If you want to start on the MoH series, start with either 1, Underground, Allied Assault (including the expansion pack Spearhead; DON'T play Breakthrough), Frontlines, Pacific Assault, or Airborne.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Breakthrough multiplayer was amazing but servers are probably empty now :(
The MoH VR game coming up could be the best one yet if they do it right
Let me just correct one thing:
1. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
that’s on God yo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely agree! The expansions make it the definitive WW2 shooter. The North Africa and Italy missions are a real standout
MA Reza I have a cd version of it but nether it or cod 2 won’t run on my laptop.
Oh yes. Just when I was about to comment for MOH allied assault. It's MOH Allied Assault plus all the expansions, COD 2, and then the rest!!
Frontlines was better
Surprised not to see War Thunder this list. I know its not all ww2 (it goes a bit further,) but its mostly ww2 and has a ton of content in that area. It features tanks, planes and ships all in as much detail or more as say world of tanks or il2...
I know right....yet they mention world of tanks....I agree, war thunder should have made this list
I AGREE. Seeing wot and not wt just disappoints
I Fourth that WT should've been mention it, specially enlist althou still in beta it holds the ww2 está stuff
To me it always seemed that WoT was an integral part of War Thunder. I played WT mostly for the airplanes, had some fun with naval battles and did a few tank tutorials.
From a War Thunder vet DON'T PLAY WAR THUNDER! You will disobey me but you will have wished you would have listened.
The Commandos series definitely is missing from this list. You gotta give some love to a WWII game that blends strategy with stealth.
I was about to comment this, but I thought, "let's go through comments, there might be someone mentioning the Commandos series," I'm not disappointed!
I was hoping for a nod to Hidden & Dangerous 2
Missing hell let loose, war Thunder, post scriptum, day of infamy, verdun, tannenberg
Plus Arma mods.
Day of Infamy should absolutely make this list
War thunder 😭😭
I was surprised Verdun/Tannenburg was not on the list, even in the Bonuses. They try the hardest to emulate the actual Great War with accurate maps/units/weapons. The gameplay is very monotonous but it tried to depict actual combat.
Fr how do they have il-2 but not war thunder!!
I would have gone for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault; Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the multiplayer Enemy Territory.
Enemy Territory was so much fun. Plus I remember it was free as well
And war thunder
Enemy Territory was the shit. Thank god someone else said something. That mod was ahead of the curve bruh
War Thunder, Enlisted, Men of War.
I was surprised and a little disappointed that Allied Assault wasn't mentioned.
Honestly, I really loved the CoD: WWII campaign. It was by far my favourite newer CoD release back in 2017.
Men of War: Assault Squad 2, Post Scriptum, War Thunder - 3 of my favourite WWII Games and none of them are even on the list :(
don't forget Verdun and hell let loose too
So dissapointed that Men of War wasn't on the list...
i love Men of War
@@Rabbit_585 lmao HLL is dying. They already closed a lot of their servers. It was junk at day 1.
Stellarmayn what do you mean it looks healthy
No one ever mentions COD: Big Red One 😞
I’ve never heard of it.
The Big Red one is COD 2, which was mentioned
The PC CoD games are better, but yeah, CoD 1: Finest Hour and CoD 2: Big Red One deserved mentions, though I preferred CoD 2: BRO more. It's a darn shame the game didn't have a PC release.
Borg Assassin They are entirely different games with different campaigns and different characters.
It's only on original Xbox and ps2
really hope the brothers in arms franchise makes a comeback someday
darkjedi351 me three!
It was soooo good.
same here
now they're just pay to win android stinkers
Who owns the IP?
I need to correct this video:
1. Hearts of Iron 4
I was thinking that
I played Cod: Big Red One so many times.
Ikr
That's my childhood sumed up in one game
I find your lack of Verdun/Tannenberg disappointing.
also Hell Let Loose/Post Scriptum
NoobierNoob Exactly! How is Battalion on here but not HLL or PS... we’ve got to get him to figure out about these.
Broooo was just about to say that , best world war 1 simulators out there
It just sucks that verdun has barely any players
Yeah, I was kind of shocked that Verdun at least didn't get a spot. Neither Post Scriptum.
Shame that there was no mention of the men of war series.
Also no Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose. At least they mentioned Red Orchestra.
@@nyuszicsib LMAO HLL is dying bro. They already closed a lot of their servers. HLL was garbage on day 1.
@@SeemzLegit454 Still better than BF5 example and still not in the list.
And what do you mean it's dying? Hell Let Loose has 2000 24-hour peak right now. Post Scriptum "only" has 1500. Both games doing great. We don't need 100 thousand players.
@@nyuszicsib you are right because Post Scriptom and HLL has reality tank and make us feel like we are fight in the war than personal skill
Also Commandos and Verdun as well
I'd like to add Hearts Of Iron IV - It seems like a lot of people like that game.
Did anyone play Hidden & Dangerous? That ww2 game was so fun at the time as a kid, super nostalgia :)
I have played but never beated it
I had it on the Dreamcast. Had fun with it
Brother in arms is till this day a masterpiece.
I wish they would make another one
except android
@@hassanbukhari9202 Ubisoft was taking about it when The Division 2 came out. But now this shitty covid going around, they put a pause on it.
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood!!!! hoping for a comeback...
I've given up hope. Most of the people who worked on the games are gone. It wouldn't be the same.
@@RenegadeRam you have a point... but oh well, I have hope 😅
what about hell's highway?
@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 It's lackluster, to say the least.
@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 ...buuuuut I loved knowing what happened to these characters! I really got attached to them and would love to see what follows! Personally, I would love a Battle of the Bulge game.
Men of War: Assault Squad, and Hearts of Iron 4 are my personal best WW2 games
Company of Heroes (he mentioned) is much better
I am missing Call of Duty. The original one. Innovative and fun to play. And as it was the first one, it wasn't "just another CoD title"
True Cod 2 and World at war are awesome but the first one is very good brings nostalgia..
I got it downloaded on the old ps3
Commandos.
Hidden and Dangerous.
Thanks, i miss these two too.
Brothers in arms-earned in blood
Hearts of iron 3/4?????????????????????????
Best ww2 game ever
wonderful game but who got time for that shi?
I thinks your priorities are out of wack, I didn’t see hearts of iron 4, man of war assault squad 2, foxhole, warthunder because world of tanks has too many arcade elements for me, Verdun, or even or even a classic like hero and generals
Rhey mentioned the Hearts of iron series
@@wolfgangamadeusmozart851 but why not talk. About the newest installment?
Hoi4 is the best
Danzig or war!
@@MrSlapjack2007 also Poland in non historical: *randomly turns fascist and joins the Novus Imperium Romanum
Brothers in arms was a personal favourite of mine. They nailed the sounds in that game, especially the grenades.
Why is War Thunder never mentioned in these type of videos, its really good.
Because theyre not paying em.
To be fair it isn't just World War 2, I mean hell it even has Abrams and the Apache, vehicles which are being used to this day.
Rogal Dorn so does World of Tanks, they’re no longer just WWII only either. Well, not quite as far forward as WT, but still.
@@barghest9810 didn't know about that, never played World of Tanks.
Yeah They should have replaced WOT with War Thunder
Hearts of iron 4 is a great world war 2 strategy game.
@rwsthedemonking How it's not a video game?
rwsthedemonking It’s an interactive experience displayed in video format. Just because you tried it and can’t understand it or haven’t tried it and can’t understand it doesn’t mean it’s not a video game.
@rwsthedemonking It's the realest video game, it has deep gameplay and addictive af. It's more of a video game than all other games presented here.
@rwsthedemonking Ok we ll inform almost the whole gaming industry to change their name and let the VR developers only use the word game .And VR SUCKS.Come back in 10-20 years and it might not.
rwsthedemonking that’s like saying a Volkswagen Beetle isn’t a car anymore because there are Ferraris. Your point is moot.
A solid list, Raven's 2009 "Wolfenstein" reboot had fantastic WW2 combat too.
I still love The Saboteur, I'd love to see a rerelease of that someday if another studio picks up the rights. A little polishing and that could be one of the greats. More war games that involve sneaking around and climbing the environment would be great if nothing else
Whenever I see that game brought up on this channel I'm tempted to get it on my gfs xbox lol, it looks so cool like an OG Assassin's Creed set in WW2, but yh a remaster would be great, unfortunately i think its been forgotten
Hidden & Dangerous would have been a good candidate for this list. I guess it's fading from memory now, but it was full of strategy and surely one of the earlier squad shooters. I remember it being brutally hard. I think visually it has probably aged quite a bit now, but it was certainly influential.
Hope everyone has had a great end to this week and have a great start to next week 😊❤️
You too subbed
I hope you have an even better weekend and a great start to next week sub to me instead of this loser.
Zacky The Human No
Ok hope you all have a great start to the week too! Can you sub to me please? I subbed to exo btw!
@@_.1603 you have sealed your fate.
Already knew most but thanks for the recap😀
Excuse me I'm not seeing Commandos here. Bruh!
Imagine if Battlefield V was one of them 😂😂😂
Edit: Oh shit Battlefield V was one of them 😳
Battlefield V is neither authentic nor is it fun. Of the 10 hours i put into the game i have enjoyed the last 10 seconds, turning off the game to go play Bf4
Aaron Brall why did it take you 10 hours of gameplay to learn it isnt fun?
@@jordanwebster1728 i was using up the 10 hour trial
Aaron Brall ooh
Gender Field 5
I have to say, as someone who was in middle/early high school when the whole "early 2000's WWII shooter craze" was inescapable, I find it interesting how we've come full circle to it being an incredibly refreshing change from the standard "future war" series that replaced it.
thanks for recommending Red Orchestra.
bit of an old game but my favourite ww2 game was called Hidden and Dangerous 2 basically a strategic game were you control four members of the SAS and you play alot of missions spanning form Norway to Czechoslovakia I loved that your squad could increase there stats and earn medals
I remember "The Saboteur", i crushed days playing that game.
Still have it on Origin.
Underrated as hell, very nice game
I'm calling it. Battlefield 1 is on here.
Edit: yup.
That's cuz Battlefield 1 is badass.
I'm calling it. Medal of Honor has to be here. And maybe they made the list because of it.
Edit: Has to be the best World War series of all time
@@occiferfigpucker4840 Battlefield V is bad
It's not immersive it's camping the game
Occifer FigPucker it was ok at best. Appealed more to cod players than long time battlefield fans
@@grizl635 yes cuz thats the one he talked about. Battlefield 5 was okay, but Battlefield 1 was amazing
I really love you folks from gameranx. You're the only gaming site/channel that actually knows how to make good lists, critiques and other gaming stuff. Whenever I watch something like IGN, Gamespot or Gaming Bolt I wonder if they just do a random list mashup and end up with random-ass lists everybody hates. Not to mention that on their top 100 games of the decade list Polygon put a random tetris game higher than God of War. Some people just refuse to use their brain.
P.S. Love ya voice, Falcon!
I just became a teenager and I grew up playing Medal of Honor: Rising Sun and being very good at it. I was very happy to see that it made the list and hope that other people can experience that game.
COD:WAW is still the most immersive, gruesome, historically accurate WW2 game to this day. We need more games set on the Eastern Front!
I loved it . Storming the Reichstag...amazing
It was seriously my favorite. It was a perfect game
Sergio Leone I prefer cod 2 in teams of gameplay but cod waw has an amazing atmosphere
Yeah but i want to see in German or Japanese side hahaha
@@kenneth4all673 THIS!
Valiant Hearts is such a different experience and also visually stunning especially for us who loves hand drawn art styles. Highly recommend it and happy to see it on this list.
Oh the feels.....Also glad to see it, although the list is kinda meh.
valiant hearts its a best game when ubisoft and i still love this game its beautiful and very sad this ending make me cry
i had a feeling brothers in arms was gonna be on here.. i loved that series
Thank you so much for this video
World at War zombies is amazing!
It was the best lol. Imho- it had the best campaign, multiplayer, and zombies
Braden Thornton tbh I only ever go on waw zombies to play custom maps.
WaW is the greatest and most dark war game ever made. That menu music and final cutscene still give me chills 12 years later.
COD 1 was my first ww game. I loved it. And still play it.
Soooooo agree! Can’t even imagine topping Brothers In Arms. Thanks.
What about Hearts of Iron 4?
the best game
Bf5? Hahah you're killing me with the joke, good one
No, it’s easily one of the best WW2 games ever
You almost tanked the video with the tank jokes.😂😂😂 Great Video
CoD: Big Red One has aged surprisingly well. To be honest, I would love to see a remastered version of it. Same thing with the original CoD.
Enemy Front is a great WWII shooter that sadly flies under the radar of most gamers. It has very decent graphics and the story is centered around Poland and most of the levels are recreated to historical accuracy at that time...the guns are well modeled and the gameplay, although nothing to write home about gets the job done nicely...there are some nice sections to break up the shooting and the atmosphere is great for that era...definitely worth a playthrough for historical shooter fans.
Valiant hearts is one of my favourite games loved the art style
Check out the sequel 11:11 Memories Retold.. Valkyria Chronicles series should count here too I think even though it’s an anime WWII
Haven't played memories retold trailer looks good tho
Oh man. When I saw this list title, MoH Frontline and Hell’s Highway immediately popped in my head. Those two games were so great.
perfect timing for this video, just watched Midway last night
Il2 sturmovik: battle of Stalingrad is the midern one, with its add ons, even more super realistic
Hell Let Loose / Post Scriptum >
Some fine ww2 mmo

@Quality High aww shit hear we go again
Stellarmayn don’t quit your day job dude- you don’t know what you’re talking about
Yes, Brothers In Arms series is my top WW2 also. So hope they continue the series soon!!
Props for mentioning Conker's Bad Fur Day. I was always a big Medal of Honor fan so playing the WWII parts of CBFD were really fun.
the saboteur was possibly one of the greatest games i’ve ever played
But today's generation want stupid run & gun cod games
Where's Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory? That multiplayer was great even thou it was a quite simple
I’m so glad to see they mentioned MOH Rising Sun it was one of my favorite games growing up
Gameranx, thumbs up on including IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946/Complete Edition.
HOI4????
No war thunder? Im sorry this list is incomplete, war thunder has a better world of tanks inside of it as well as both an arcade and simulator difficulty flight sim. It has realistic monoplanes and biplanes, jets, tanks, planes, ships and helicopters. On top of all lf that its free on pc xbox and playstation. You cant mention ww2 games without mentioning war thunder.
Hell let loose and postscriptum is a must on this list too
For tanks i prefer WoT but planes in warthunder are hard to beat
War thunder for sure , especially how many areas of the war you can play on and it has multiple wars with multiple factions , I think the best part about it is that there is something for everyone with offline bots and also sim battles and also the ability to watch the battles on how they were actually fought from a historians point of view
I've Noticed @gameranx tends to make videos of mostly AAA titles. Granted there were a couple on this list that were small studios, but I agree they could have made a couple better choices. Especially Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose.
@@zakaryperrin7126 Oh yeah definitely
Who else remembers Blazing Angels: Eagle Squadron. That campaign was AWESOME!
I was hoping someone else mentioned it. Although wasn't it called Squadrons of WWII? Or was there more than just that and Secret Missions?
I think you I should’ve mentioned Verdun as it was a very realistic WW1 game that took place on the frontline and unlike BF1 it emphasized the crude conditioned such as trench warfare low ammunition count, and using rifles instead of less seen weapons
this whole list was lame as hell, gameranx is losing it
It's a very cookie cutter list.
What about commandos series? It's one of my all time favorites.
Ikr? I was expecting to be at least at top 5. Commandos 2 is one of the best games ever imo.
I know, though the third game is really terrible.
I was so glad to see brothers in arms in there, loved all those games.
I think medal of honor airborne would have been worth mentioning as well, its got a super strong story line, an innovative way to navigate the campaign, with the ability to customize your class as you go, it was one of the earlier games to do that, that I've noticed anyways..
Two small titles over looked "Air Warrior" and "Close Combat"
Close Combat should be number two or three.
No Men of War: Assault Squad? Outrageous
Also Warthunder > WoT
Or Post Scriptum, Reeee lol
@@HexAyed they should remake this list😂
The WW1 sections of The Darkness were terrifying. A great game by the way
"World of tanks" and "historical acurate"..You sir, made me day. :D
Finally, a video fit for a World War One enthusiast like myself.
Oh: there were only about four WW1 games here. Good lost anyway.
To be honest you should take worl of tanks and put War Thunder in is place, because War Thunder is more realistic, better looking and historecli acurate.

11-11 memories retold is right up there with valiant hearts
They also didn't mention Verdun and/or Tannenberg but Battlefield 😠
As soon as I seen the intro I creamed I love world at war
When I got Married, I made a special Cake Topper of the Bride dragging the Groom away from CoD WaW. My Wife said, it could go on the Groom's Cake. Everyone said it was better than the one she got... lol
I creamed hard
Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 3 was awesome. 3 came out my first year in college and we had the entire floor in the dorm taking turns playing 4 players on one console, playing as a team online.
Suprised that I haven't seen Time Raiders on the list. Actually, I'm very excited for this shoot and loot game. They already released 4 in-game characters and my favorite is John, a wealth manager for the elites and has a love for danger. Hope you can make a review about this game!
I’m here for the BFV jokes
The whole battlefield series is great dosent get enough attention
how is it not getting enough attention, its basically up there
Wdym? Battlefield is literally COD's biggest enemy.
It is like bk vs mcs coke vs Pepsi the same with bf vs cod

Thanks for mentioning DoD, the game on my childhood.
Dude I grew up playing the hell out of Medal of Honor sun rising and band of brothers hell’s highway . Two of my favorite games from when I was young .
And also battlestations pacific . That game was very good also
9:15 " and that's exactly what we got" what?...are you playing a different BFV than the one I'm playing?
BFV multiplayer is annoying more than being fun....BF1 and previous installments are fun and great but this one just purely sucks!
Did you guys actually play the game?
I gently slap my ducks
Aka pat them
Im a Battlefield fanboy and I agree BFV Multiplayer and Canpaign was just annoying and glitchy, Bf1 or BF4 was the exact opposite their just amazing games

We are surprised that you guys didn't mention the Battlestations series that was set in the Pacific theatre... Was by far one of the best ww2 sims we had played with air to air, air to ground, ship to ship, ship to shore... That would be an awesome game to see remade!!
Cod 3 was one of the best cod story’s I have ever played and is worth re playing. Got me emotionally invested at the time. Cod finest hour was also very good and for one of the first cod games it had a multiplayer which was full of glitches but it never ruined my experience!!
Hells highway was legendary.
Waiting for that sequel. Loved commanding squads.

How about Commandos, Verdun, and Men of War?
Btw i am glad you talked about Brothers In Arms, that franchise is o underrated, still waiting the game would be continued..
