itsJordanDoes dismantled :( my first run through I picked Poseidon but I was playing a sneaky/assassin build and didn’t think I needed a spear plus I didn’t know at the time that the second weapon also added their stats so I was actually just carrying a dagger and a bow! My second weapon slot was empty! *facepalm*
Darn, I've done that quest at least three times (three diff chars) and answered Apollo the last time. I don't recall what I answered the first two times but if I was awarded that spear I deleted it since it was 'just an epic' weapon. Although I was running an all epic build on my current char until I acquired the Greek Heroes legendary armor pieces* and have being using them for the gear set bonus ever since. Note: I do use an epic Hunter bow with 28% poison damage and 35% headshot damage. *For those who may not know, you can track the location of Mercenaries in real time as well as see what they will drop when killed. That is how I acquired the entire Greek Heroes set (+30% all resistances) in about an hour.
I really like how they put Athena in the game as a seemingly mortal lady, it's actually very accurate to real ancient Greek mythology, sometimes the gods and goddesses would present themselves as mortals and not actually tell or show that they were more than that. A lot of people hate on this game, but frankly I love it.

Depends what level, if you explore and iill mercs, do the arena, you'll never need to upgrade. I'm lvl 59 and have only upgraded twice cuz right after I upgraded, I got better armor or weapons

The "Copycat Sword" from the "Eagle Bearer" quest in the lost tales of Greece line of quests also has 7% crit chance, but no 30% adrenaline per crit. Just thought I'd put that out there.
This kid speaks and sounds like he's eleven or some shit so yeah an attractive chick in her 30's is definitely an "old lady" to him. I swear I heard him say "most rarest" at least three different times throughout the video, that's why I assume he's super young. -
This is no longer the case. Idk if it’s because of updates that came out after this video or what. But Crit Chance is now found on quite a few weapons. And are much higher than this weapon. Especially with the Mastery Perks Tree that comes out at level 50. Granted you’re willing to shell out the coin for those updates.
I picked Athena, to which she responds with something along the lines of "It's interesting you say that", but then she makes you pick between Apollo and Poseidon. I then picked Poseidon and I still got the Master of Waters spear. Unfortunately, at that point, I was obsessed with having all legendary gear, so I dismantled it... :(
I totally found this weapon by pure accident while exploring. Awesome feeling when you find something this rare without being told by CZcams or some game forums. Pleasant surprise
For everyone that wonders: If you choose athena she just laughs and you have the choice between poseidon and apollon again. If you choose apollon you will be sent to a few different quests but in the end instead of this special spear you will get a sword with Hunter Dmg, Adrenaline on hit and All Dmgs...so not special by any means compared to the spear.

It's a pretty good hunter weapon but IMO its best in an assassin build because with the right rolls and engravings elsewhere you can get to 100% crit chance which for assassin builds lets you play like the assassin's creed games of old with your normal assassination becoming a guaranteed one shot on everything but a tiny minority of mercenaries who have Assassination Resistance.
After you out in like over 60 70 hours that's when it can feel like assassins creed lol I'd love these games if they stopped using assassins creed in the title

This one is pretty good but I tested the dps and a perfect epic will always outdamage it. Don't get discouraged if you didn't pick it up there are better choices. Great video, it's still a great choice.
@@terracemartin4426 The weapon isn't "better", is more consistent in some builds because you can reach 100% crit chance with it. This is specially relevant at times where you're sneaking and need to 1 shot the enemy with a crit without having to pray ro RNG.
I got the spear. I also have an epic sword with Crit chance. I got it from “the eagle bearer” It’s called copycat sword Warrior damage Damage on spartan soldiers 7% Crit chance Plus one

It really does feel weird. I think Ubisoft didn't realize that CRIT chance was going to be so important to us. Would be nice if it was on a legendary weapon instead. Like the Hermes Spear with chance to ignore half damage.
I'm a assassin build. I have all assassin based weapons and I have to say that this spear is still worth getting. I'm going to replace it with my blades. So even though I'm pretty much an assassin build, I will be using the spear because that crit chance is so worth it!
Just playing this game for the first time and I did find posideans trident which lets you breath underwater, which really helps when surrounded by sharks, you don't have to worry about running out of air 👍.
I don’t get it the Minotaurs axe Has 25% critical damage and cost one less adrenaline point for over powered abilities I don’t see how the 7% is better than 25
Got to the part where it said "recommended level, 70" and stopped watching. 😂 I've been playing for a good 80 hours and I'm level 27. I have got Poseidon's Trident which I can't use, but I can breathe under water which is cool. I didn't even kill the legendary animal, just stole it and ran away.

It only says that because he's level 70. The quests scale to your level, meaning if you're level 70, all quests will be recommended level 70. You should check the quest on your own save file to see if you're the right level for it :)
Steve Watson I’m only a level 10 so I haven’t even been thinking about the trident lol so if you can’t equip it how are you able to breath under water?
I've actually been playing for 50 hours now and I'm level 44, so I underestimated my gameplay massively. If you go and get the Trident, it unlocks an engraving for you, then you engrave one of your current (legendary) weapons if you've got them. Then it's actually just a few Drachmea for the engraving. I stayed under water for a couple of days just because I could. One skill everyone should have is the rebirth one or whatever it's called. You can regenerate some life with it, and I've found that a real challenge is now me vs 50 big Spartans. Literally 50 of them. Things get a whole lot easier when you get past level 30. And the game keeps getting more and more awesome.
i dismantled it thinking it was a normal spear, i never payed much attention to its perks. after watching this i always check something before dismantling or selling
4 years ago this weapon would have been the most rarest weapon in the game but it seems to have lost its rarity over the years as i have had this weapon about 28 times in the last 6 weeks
They should add a DLC where you literally can explore the water. Or at least make a set that makes it so you can breathe underwater and also swim fast as fucking hell.
Take it easy, -7 critchance won't break your game, I still have enough crit damage/chance from my Achilles spear and poseidon trident to get the extra 21% spear damage x2. I like some challenges, especially souls fans players.

I left this quest practically unfinished till right before i saw this video! All my saves seem to be right after i chose the lion God or one save that has me at level 80 and I'm currently level 94.... I'm new game plussing it right now. Pissed
Hi I have the Olympian torch Legendary staff with +19% warrior damage also +28% fire damage with +50% Element Buildup with warrior abilities, and finally weapon damage becomes fire damage. I am level 70 try it and see what you think I think its awesome. If I remember you can get it from the store.
I know this video is old, but, I have a question. What is the name of the ability you're using in some shots where it looks like Kassandra is stabbing the ground with the Spear and sending out a shockwave that seems to knock everyone down? It looks like a very handy ability to have for conquest battles.
Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but since the 7% crit chance isn't a legendary engraving the spear can be your secondary weapon and your primary will still benefit, correct?

Looks like I already had the weapon back when I was level 29 and for a moment I thought i had a different version due to none of the stats being the same (+10/+12/+3). Then figured it needed to be upgraded to level 70 and sure enough (+18/+30/+7) . Thanks for the heads up, I'm glad I also kept my early unused gear in the Adrestia storage hold :-) the extra space is key!
Hello Jordan I have just recently started to play this game, I didn't know anything about this game and I was getting killed very quickly, but thank you very much for this great video. This spear has helped me so much since I found it. Before this video i didn't know anything about how to find a very strong weapon, and had no idea about armor sets, and i had no idea how the abilities worked. At the start of this video you showed that the hunter build is extremely strong, so i decided to take your advice. I am choosing to go with the hunter build. I have a Vine Bow because it has hunter damage and the bow is for distant targets. I'm also using the Master Of Waters Spear. My 2nd weapon choice is Heavy Blunt because I love its heavy swing and it breaks skulls🤣 I am finding it difficult to find the right hunter damage armor sets. Because only 1 or 2 pieces of armor has the Crit Chance. I am very new to the game so I am still learning about how it works. Please could you give me some advice on how to find armor sets that have Crit Chance and Adrenaline Per Crit on them, also do the armor sets need to be Legendary or Epic. And Thank you once again for this video, I have survived more in fights with the hunter build. Oh and I love your videos, you give very good advice, keep up the good work.👍

I started using only legendary weapons when I got to level 50
i strtrsd when i was like level 20 i was killing the cultist know im level 54 but i found the trident of posiden

If you choose either Apollo or Athena, you will find an Apollonian Blade (epic sword). Nothing special about it.

It's probably better for assassin players because they can hit 100% crit

Not sure if you know this but this spear got nerfed. Now it's 12% Hunter Damage, 16% Adrenaline per CRIT, and 4% CRIT Chance

You can change the way your weapon looks anyways so they work the way the new weapons work it's pretty cool.

I just completed all side locations and once I get all the blue ore in the game then I am going for new game plus so I can get this spear
I don’t but I have the sun hat oil body armour thing normal body thing and sword of yummiey from black smith.
There is another melee weapon with a +10% Crit rating, it's the Copycat Sword that you can loot from the Fake Eagle Bearer after choosing to kill him.
why is this weapon so good having legendary weapons like the typhoon ax that with fire deals 200 critical damage
I know this video is old, but, I have a question. What is the name of the ability you're using in some shots where it looks like Kassandra is stabbing the ground with the Spear and sending out a shockwave that seems to knock everyone down? It looks like a very handy ability to have for conquest battles.
Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but since the 7% crit chance isn't a legendary engraving the spear can be your secondary weapon and your primary will still benefit, correct?

Looks like I already had the weapon back when I was level 29 and for a moment I thought i had a different version due to none of the stats being the same (+10/+12/+3). Then figured it needed to be upgraded to level 70 and sure enough (+18/+30/+7) . Thanks for the heads up, I'm glad I also kept my early unused gear in the Adrestia storage hold :-) the extra space is key!
I said Athena and then Poseidon and I got the spear!

Hello Jordan I have just recently started to play this game, I didn't know anything about this game and I was getting killed very quickly, but thank you very much for this great video.
This spear has helped me so much since I found it. Before this video i didn't know anything about how to find a very strong weapon, and had no idea about armor sets, and i had no idea how the abilities worked.
At the start of this video you showed that the hunter build is extremely strong, so i decided to take your advice.
I am choosing to go with the hunter build.
I have a Vine Bow because it has hunter damage and the bow is for distant targets.
I'm also using the Master Of Waters Spear.
My 2nd weapon choice is Heavy Blunt because I love its heavy swing and it breaks skulls🤣
I am finding it difficult to find the right hunter damage armor sets. Because only 1 or 2 pieces of armor has the Crit Chance. I am very new to the game so I am still learning about how it works.
Please could you give me some advice on how to find armor sets that have Crit Chance and Adrenaline Per Crit on them, also do the armor sets need to be Legendary or Epic.
And Thank you once again for this video, I have survived more in fights with the hunter build.

Coming to this late but I have to say I have this Master of Waters, and I chose Athena as the most dangerous god.
The real question is... Can you equip two of those spears? (one from normal and one from NG+

Kept it for a while because I thought it looked cool but I sold it .
When I first got mine, It dropped with a +8% CRIT Chance/+32%Adrenaline per CRIT/+20% Hunter Damage
, got it weapons don't have crit chance engraving, only bow has that engravement, but the combination of hunter damage does made me dismantle it.
And jumping from very high and don't die is boring. You go to everywhere from hills and mountains so easy that you miss the advanture and excitement...
