I'd suggest redesign the door bars.. their are other cool designs that don't meet at the bends.. leave the bottom bar where it is and then move the bend in the top bar forward to the bars run parallel for 100mm or so. Will give much more door access

@@89_triumph yes Iv seen that design before and it’s not bad. Never seen it in a tube chassis tho only in body cars. I’m trying to keep max strength also so with the two bends in contact and welded I think that’s the strongest way rather then the bends being of set but I could be wrong

I used to use large diameter curtain poles and the adjustable bends that you can buy in most curtain stores ( Dunelm Mill for example ), you can then mock up your tubes without committing to steel ( I also found you could use plastic pipe ( from B&Q ) to do the same but you have to make your own flexi bends, plastic is nearer the size of the steel ).

@@djohh3057 that’s not a bad idea to be honest 👍🏻

Might be worth looking at a ladder door bar setup if MSUK allow it. Would tie into the floor nicely and you could have your kick up to the front post where you needed it but stilll be able to evacuate easily ? Just a thought ....

@@INFINITUS-MOTORSPORT I see that’s design a lot in drift cars and it dose give a good amount of strength by the looks of it. Also I see them pushing them out into the doors for extra space

good stuff mate. can you cheat more room by moving the contact point on the bends of the opposing door bars? cheers .

@@djohh3057Hey, thanks for the offer 👍 unfortunately I don't have a big enough pillar drill to use one. Mines just the cheep clarke benchtop one. Maybe its time for an upgrade 🤔

Can you not put 2 bends in the door bars so there is a flat between the 2 beds that would give you more room
