I made this volleyball launcher and backstop cage to help my daughter with her training. The air compressor noise in the background shows in part how it works.
It would be a very long explaination but basically it works by a air piston that punches the ball out. An air compressor charges the piston cylinder by a pressure valve, that is tripped by a switch.
I built the spike trainer out of PVC pipe, bending it with a special heat process. You can get them on eBay for a reasonable price and it maybe easier than making your own. Hope this helps.
I know I’m very late to this video but can you explain how you made it?

Very nice BTW
Please tell me how to build this. I'd love to have something like this for my daughter.
Craig, I've got a couple projects going right now but in a couple weeks I'll send you some info. David
Awesome, thank you!

I have a rough schematic of the essential parts. I can email it to you if you email me at edge4him@gmail.com. David
Could you explain it? I presume it is pneumatic; any schematics?
Is the launcher your own design or are plans available?
Do you have instructions for building the setting machine?
I do. Send me an email address at edge4him@gmail.com for pictures and a diagram.
Hi! can you give me some info about how to build the setter machine whit the air compresssor
How can I get the photos and design to you? email?
Thanks for your response, nicolas.ssl.94@gmail.com that is my email
