when I had clinical death, cardiac arrest, i recited this 7 line prayer when realized that I am dead and would die before my mother, felt great sadness and compassion, then, I remembered this Prayer and it brought me back to body without intervention of medicine or doctors
wow that is a whole lot of reps. does it make your throat sore after so many recitations? I tried 1000 vajra guru mantra reps spread throughout the day once upon a time, and man was my throat/vocals out of wack for a few days. I can't even imagine this somewhat longer mantra 300, let alone, 600 times a day. let me know if you do, is there some sort of technique that you use in order to avoid vocal stress?
Hi. You do not have to chant with full voice, lower the tone, and if you are "new" Teachers always say, it is better to do several short meditations a day, then several long. Otherwise, it can be an obstacle and person could loose interest to meditate. Check out also breathing, chant under your breath, and if feel tired stop, dedicate always!! and finish. Refuge is good in the morning, before going out. During the day some other meditation you like.Also before sleep. Do not torture yourself :)...1000 is a lot. even for experienced ones. start with 108. as one mala. and slowly slowly, prolong. When you feel like it. Follow your intuition. Balance. All the best.

I can finished one round of 108 times in less than 15 minutes. No need to verbalise it out loud, just a soft tone. This will be easy for your throat. I have now also doing prostrations and I am reciting the 7 line prayer as I am doing the prostration. Again at the beginning I needed to break up each set of of 100 prostrations in 3 sessions. Now I could do 200 times in one session twice a day. I hope to work up to 500 times a day. My target 100000 times 7 line prayer and prostration within 6 months. After 2 weeks into doing the prostrations, not only my body became much stronger, loss weight but my mind is so much clearer thus helping in my work in the office. Truly amazing....

💖 I bow to you Guru Rinpoche. Out of this world. 🙏 The 7 Lines Prayer changed my life forever. Yesterday I have listened to it and tears of bliss where automatically roll out my eyes. This happened several times. While I can totally feel that all I have read about the teachings of Dzogchen/Vajrayana so far is true and somehow I was not in this reality. This beautiful chant somehow overwrote my mind for hours. Just in the morning I have ask Padmasambava to help me with my spiritual development and tried to surrender and than this happened. This is the "Seven Line Prayer". There's only one with this title. Just do a ggogle search. There are two respected translation sources - Lotsawa House & 84000. All of the trasnlations are 90% similar, some are more flowery than others.
