Very useful when sharing Android apps. Definitely one worth setting up!
It really is!
So handy! Thanks for sharing, Sethi.
I usually open up a meet with my pc and phone (all audio in and out muted there) and just record thé meet.
Your tutorial should give a cleaner look. Giving in a go.
Thank you! It's definitely less hassle this way. And once you've done it a few times, it takes seconds to set up.
So good keep on🎉
i opened it but now i closed terminal.. i cannot just type in scrcpy to open my phone screen again... do i have to do all the steps over again every time if i close the terminal? (I'm using a Macbook)
It says: zsh: command not found: scrcpy
oh it work for me thankyou somuch
Good demo! 👍Not for a basic user, but a basic user would probably not be looking for an app like this.
Thank you. And I agree, it's definitely a little more cumbersome to set up and use.
It is the absolutely perfect tool and you are a very good teacher. But maybe you can add for mac connection. Because that one is little hardwork.
Great suggestion!
When i try it, is said: ''target refused the connection''. Any help?
Sir please make a video. .

How to do the same for chromebook
Hi! I need to mirror the screen of my Samsung tablet into a chromebook and I've been searching for and app to do it but i haven't managed it. Do you know how to do it?
Thanks
Hi,
You would follow the same steps as in this video on your android phone (preparing the phone) and after connecting via usb to the chromebook you'd open vysor app.vysor.io/#/ Vysor is the easiest but scrcpy the most powerful. In order to use scrcpy on Chromebooks, you'll have to install a linux kernel firat and then install scrcpy on that linux kernel. A tad more technical. :-)
Can I turn off the screen on the android but cast it in the PC?
GREAT! Thank you! can I use that mirror in OBS studio?
Yes you can! Simply select the window as your source in OBS
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials Thank you!
Do you need to have usb tethering turned on the usb settings? Mine works normally with the file transfer option. Just wondering if there is any good reason to use usb tethering since it is causing my laptop to use the network from my smartphone. Thanks in advance, would just like to know if usb tethering is required and what the benefit of using it is.
When using usb tethering the main benefit is keeping the phone charged as well as low latency when on a slower or busy network (for example at school during school hours tehering would make sense for our school network) at home, I wouldn't bother if you know your network is fast enough.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials Thanks a lot for the response. That's very helpful. In the school network case, do you mean that you prefer to send the school network through your phone to the laptop instead of the laptop being connected wirelessly to the school network separetely from the phone? Just trying to wrap my head around it to see if it will be better for my use case.
I avoid using the school network and only connect to it on the laptop, as the latency is much higher , so then I use the wired connection.
So I could upload windows 10 on another phone, then run one device on another
Please write the commands used in the explanation so that I can copy
my regards
All the command are listed in their information file when you download the package. github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/blob/master/README.md#user-documentation
I take it you can’t access this useful tool on an iPhone? Steve
This specific tool(free) is not available on iPhone. For iOS devices i use Airserver on PC (we have this installed on all PCs at school) this allows you to Airplay to the PC. However its not a free program but still very affordable and has great performance. Hope this helps.
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials On Mac you can use Quicktime to show iPhone activity onsceen. Select "Record Movie" and then from the dropdown next to the record button on the recording screen select your iPhone as the input device (this control would normally let you select between the built-in camera and microphone on your mac to an outboard connected device - you're basically telling Quicktime to use the phone as the camera and microphone).
