Rangers v Dundee 5-2 Match Report Live at Ibrox Stadium: • FULL TIME RANGERS 5-2 ...
Philippe Clement's post-match press conference and reaction - Rangers 5-2 Dundee:
"So at the end of the first half, you come out of that being behind, although you were better on the ball. But it's of no use if, without the ball, you're not good enough. I was really angry about that at halftime because football, and they know it, involves both sides of the game.
In the second half, you see what they can do if they are focused on both aspects. But I cannot make myself angry every halftime or before every game; that's impossible. It needs to come out of the team, and they need to understand that and take lessons from this. This is the perfect example today.
We received boos off the pitch at halftime and a lot of applause after the game because people enjoyed how they saw the team play, how we scored, how aggressive they were, how they won the duels, and how they didn't concede in the second half. This is the perfect example, and I hope to put a lot of attention on that again to get this out of the players in the last two games. But it needs to come out of the players."
    Rangers 5-2 Dundee Match Report:
Full-time Ibrox stadium, and it's finished Rangers 5, Dundee 2 in a quite topsy-turvy evening here in Govan. Rangers certainly made things hard for themselves as Dundee raced into a two-goal advantage by the end of the first half.
Jordan McGhee scored the first after the 38th minute, arriving at the back post to round off a well-worked move by Tony Docherty's men. Antonio Portails then made it two with a deft backheel to double their advantage. The Rangers fans certainly made their feelings clear and Ross McCausland pulled one back a minute before halftime. He powered his way through the Dundee defence before providing an excellent finish.
Philippe Clement will be happy with the way his side reacted at halftime, with Cyriel Dessers making the scoreline level with a powered header just 7 minutes after the break. Rangers then took the lead for the first time in the evening. Todd Cantwell found himself basically on the right-hand byline, and curled an excellent ball over the head of Jon McCracken. Was it a cross? Was it a shot? Did he mean it? He wouldn't care as he soaked up the adulation from the Rangers fans to give them the lead.
Substitute Scott Wright then came on and added a fourth and a fifth as time was closing out this evening. As a result, it just about keeps the title race alive for Rangers before Celtic head to Rugby Park tomorrow, knowing that a point will secure the league championship.
It finishes here at Ibrox Park: Rangers 5, Dundee 2.
