I started my Thoth journey with Banzhaf Hajo and Ziegler Gerd . I think they was my door into the Thoth because they both come from no dual Hindu-ish point of view on Thoth. So they approached Thoth kind of “new age-ish”. Book of Thoth haven’t been my first book, but when I finally was ready for it it was big joy to read it. I read it as a exacting novel . 🤓

I love reading with the Thoth because I really enjoy the artwork. My main book is Gert Ziegler’s book. Since I am getting older it’s harder for me to remember stuff like astrology etc.

Thank you for sharing this video. I fell in love with the Thoth deck when I fist saw and bought it. It also appealed to my artistic side. I was also gifted an older used smaller version. I do love the larger version and both are trimmed. It has been overwhelming for me in learning the Thoth tarot because of the vastness in the cards. I appreciate your honest inputs on the books and sources for helping in this. Thank you again.

I love my trimmed Thoth! It’s very uneven, but that makes it more like “mine” that way. I love that you said that RWS and Thoth is the same system….YES!! Same system, different language. Mirror of the Soul was the book that made the Thoth click for me. I then moved onto BOT and DuQuette’s book. You’re recommendations are fantastic!! Jumping into the Thoth was the best spiritual decision I ever made…one of my favorite tarot lineages.

Thank you !!! This is the first and only review of the Scott D. Miller's book I've been able to find anywhere. I've hesitated to buy it for a long while and today at last I know it's what I've been looking for 🎉

I started Thoth reading it intuitively, numerologically and with some ideas from Margarete Petersen, motherpeace and the golden Dawn deck. It worked great, and later I read Akron/Banzhaf and Ziegler. I like Ziegler as a reminder, and I added some notes from other books (the Zieger in German is small and handbag friendly). But you made me confident on trying Book of Thoth and Lon Milo Duquettes (btw, no idea why, because your pronunciation sounded fine to me, but the subtitles said "lone melody cat"and "lonely allergic cats" 🤣🤣🤣)

I just love hearing you talk about the Thoth deck 🥰🥰🥰 And I hope you’re able to destress soon from your move!! I totally get it, I just moved and omg I can’t tell you how stressed I was. I’m still like trying to settle in mainly because I live in more of a city now and I’m accustomed to suburban life.

I love your necklace! It’s BEAUTIFUL on you, I can’t stop staring 😍 I bought another Thoth deck with the purpose of trimming it this summer from a favorite shop in Salem, only I haven’t gotten around to trimming it yet because I’ve been so busy. I just want to read ALL the books, it’s always been my problem lol. Adding a couple of these to my list. I agree, the Fortune’s Wheelhouse podcast is a wonderful resource, and so much fun; I’ve been listening to it for years and I’ve enjoyed all of their books as well. I should look into the Lon Milo Duquette course when I feel I have more time! Great video Natalia, enjoyed it so much 😊❤

Hi Rachel, thank you, it’s by blacksmith Marcus McCoy whom I interviewed on the channel. His hands are magick! I hear you on books! My dream is to retire in a cabin full of books, black coffee, toast and a dog! Ohh let me know if you trim yours. I always wonder how many decided to curve corners or not.

I’m so overwhelmed with all I that I plan to read, but I can’t stop 😊 I’ll let you know too, what I think about the books you sent! Re: trimming the Thoth, I’ve been thinking about that too: whether or not to round the corners. I love the look of yours with the sharp corners, and then what color to edge 🤔

Thank you so much for your insightful knowledge and workings with the Thoth deck. I have been skirting around whether to start learning this system, although I’m currently on a Tarot de Marseille study. I have felt the Thoth would overwhelm me but I definitely feel that I can tackle the Thoth system with some of your recommendations.

Thank you for this greatly helpful video! I got inspired to finally learn Thoth when I saw that it was your favorite deck. I actually bought every book available on Thoth.. and as a beginner to Thoth I agree that Miller is a great start. So happy to get introduced to elemental dignities instead of reversals and other great non-book ressources and which pillars to prioritize. There are very few videos on Thoth so would love to see your collection of Thoth-like decks.
36 Secrets: A Decanic Journey through the Minor Arcana of the Tarot by T. Susan Chang is wonderful complement for any intermediate tarot reader. 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, I believe it was you who asked for this video. So glad it’s helpful. I adore THoth so so much and honestly never branched our to THoth like decks because none ever measured up to me personally. There is something magical about THoth. Sometimes, when I want my day to go by quickly I pull 8 of wands and it makes the day fly. Each card is magick.

Thanks for a fascinating video, very helpful. I just would like to give a heads up to anyone wanting to do a deep dive into Gerd Ziegler's book. Take all of the information relating to Tibetan Buddhist symbols with a truckload of salt, at least one detail I came across regarding the phurba dagger was straight up (very) wrong. This put me off so much (as a Tibetan Buddhist) that I didn't read the rest, but it didn't bode well for the accuracy of the other descriptions. I think the issue probably lies mainly with Crowley rather than Ziegler, eg at the time Crowley created the deck very little was known about Tibetan Buddhism compared to today, so it's not surprising there would be errors. So if those kinds of details matter to you, double check with more recent reputable sources.

Hi. The one I almost always hold in my hands (trimmed and edged brown) is the very first edition of THoth printing box A. Since it was first printing, the colors are not fully as accurate as current US games or AGM Muller decks. Hope this helps.

You know, I had the same "fear". But then I just got me a Thoth deck when I saw one at a book store, and thought: ok this is meant to be my trimming test deck now. I cut it and I edged it in brown (and yes, the colour bled into the cards.). I just bought a corner rounder to somehow make the corners more pleasant for my hands, (the same corner rounder that Dawn Michelle has) , and the borders I just cut away with scissors. Totally not perfect, looks like a 6 year old cut them, but I love it so much, more than other decks, because it is not perfect. If you have mobility issues, you can practice on the extra cards, or a cheap playing card deck. And then you can just cut 3 Thoth cards a day, and study them, after 26 days your deck is trimmed and you have already knowledge of the symbolism. If you find using scissors too difficult, you can ask a friend or family member maybe, to do it for you. Just let perfectionism go.
