Haven’t been using my Thoth much these days, but it is my forever soul deck. When I started learning tarot, I had a dream with Thoth (the deity), he was showing me the cards and telling me how “colorful” the images were. Of course, I ran off and bought the deck that same week and went right into the rabbit hole lol.

You are absolutely correct with respect to it being a lifelong study, Joe! I have been working with the Thoth deck for years and it continues to provide guidance & assistance for inner awakening and ongoing spiritual practice. Perhaps this is why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!
You're 100% right about this card and it's tendency to 'accelerate' karma. I guess it's kinda because once you're able to observe things at a causal level you actively input stimuli that either changes or accelerates karma.

I'm so happy I came across your channel. You are simply a beautiful soul and I love how you described Crowley. He has been described as the most evil man in the world. Depending on your definition of evil and how much you believe about the things said about him but to deny his brilliance is sheer ignorance. Love him or hate him, the man had a huge impact on occultism, witchcraft practices in general and he traveled in very interesting circles. I currently work with Tarot of the Holy Light but have read Crowley for years and wanted to explore this deck. I picked it up and am doing that now. Apparently, I was meant to find your channel. Wonderful video. I am also studying sacred geometry so this deck will assist me in delving deeper into that as well. Very excited to dive in!

I didn't know what brought my lovefriend to give this Thoth Tarot deck for my birthday gift. The first time I held them, I was drawn to the complexities, and I knew I just jumped into lifelong study that actually still scares me till this second but it's also exciting. I got this deck last year and decided to learn more about it now that I have the courage and time. Not going to lie, this deck was really intimidating at first until I started to learn about the history behind the cards. I’m surprised at how much astrology and numerology is used (and I’m pretty knowledgeable in both) so it makes learning this deck much easier. I didn’t know about Kabbalah until I started with this deck and it’s pretty eye opening. I’m glad this deck chose me because I love to study and learn outside of the box.

I came across this deck when I met my partner who is an alchemist hahah. I started using it knowing nothing and I still can't believe how deep it is. Sometimes what I specifically ask doesn't matter because it leads to the real deep and sincere question I realize while watching it. I found your channel today, I love how you convey your own experience. ps. It's always a little scary to take this tarot haha.

Love your video!!! I had a lot of experiences with this deck that came naturally through using it my first week. No deck has ever came that naturally to me. Was a very great experience. I’ve been studying a lot about Crowley due to the fact he knew every aspect of the occult. His fiction is very interesting as well through my studies. ^^ I think it’s important to study all aspects of the world and he brings a lot of light into that.

Great video. Some friends have been telling me to get into the Thoth deck. I'm a traditional taro kinda guy rn... however after getting a primer into Magick from the GD tradition, but have just popped my Crowley cherry lmfao! Already see how fascinating a Magician he was. I have been drawn to Tarot. I have 2 decks & went to my local shop to find a new deck. I was really attracted to the" Urban Tarot deck" by Robin Scott to learn it's a Thoth deck

I use this deck to clarify when I use the Egyptian Tarot or vice versa. Love this deck, see something new every time I read with it but Chile you lost me calling out witches on some “Crowley wrote most of your rituals”. Crowleys philosophies are barely a century old. Real witches/Strega those of us with long traceable lines made our brand of occultism way before his times. Old magic is feminine of Gaia…Crowley was a genius but you’re giving him to much credit. Also in re: karma and the power of the deck…the channeler and their ability to channel doesn’t change from deck to deck…true channelers can tap into source with any deck. Decks are tools…kind of like a car…no good unless there’s a learned driver. I love this deck, it’s very nuanced and intricate and definitely gives me unique messages. As a channeler, I am a conduit, I receive and deliver and karmic energy is not stored or gained only high priestess knowledge and pieces of the Akashic record are stored. Same with root workers…they don’t receive karmic retribution for doing their spiritual work. Much like Crowley, root workers (who predate Crowley by almost a century) don’t shy away from dark magic.
I'm a newbie but I kept thinking that a deity connection would be female (I do like my Brigid!) but Thoth is showing up now and I love the music/frequencies of Thoth. Thank you for this video. You're just real and sincere.

Recently I purchased the DuQuette book you suggested and I just finished it today. I plan to dive into Crowley's Book of Thoth next. I'm excited to see your instructional video on using this deck! It's my first deck, though I'm already somewhat versed in its occult concepts. I'm very interested in learning more Qabalah after DuQuette's book. And, I'm finally ready to dive in and accelerate my karma after so many years owning this deck. It's called to me again, now to dive deeper after so many years just admiring its artwork. That was incredibly informative on this specific deck that I have been lead to. I’ve had a shift in consciousness towards the perception of the Tarot, thinking it was a crutch or simply a tool of divination which I felt I could do it myself without tools. However I now see it as an extension of the self, seeing the framework underlying the facade, way to know the self better, to help others, and to be truly self empowered because when we are aware of what needs to be done in our lives we can take the right action to do. Thank you for explaining the difference of this deck and subsequent accuracy and complexities involved, I am a beginner but have a newfound interest and I look forward to studying thank you for the book recommendations. The way you describe the two of cards and abstraction, it sounds like the Tarot De Marceille and the Pip card system. No fantasy story telling here, just very deep l, specific and clear! Numerology is a must with the Marceillle, I’m sure it is within the Thoth too? I just got my first Thoth; been reading other two systems for years. I have The Hermetic Order deck though, as I’m very drawn to the Kabbalah and The Golden Dawn.

I'm a baby witch, I started with the Osho Zen deck because I'm very well acquainted with all the imagery, and the philosophy. I picked up the thoth tarot deck because it called to me, and it's been a wild journey learning its ins and outs.

Excellent overview. I've only used oracle cards and other divination, but I've had a growing interest in Aleister Crowley and I feel his teachings of Themela resonate with me a lot. I live in Boston and I felt inspired to take a trip to Salem today. I stumbled upon this deck and immediately felt drawn to it, though I had no intention of buying a tarot deck. I love the esoteric sophistication in the deck. What's interesting is that I did my first reading and I swear I felt a powerful energy using the cards. It also turned up a reading of cards that seemed quite accurate to my present state. I'm glad you mentioned accelerated karma...I'm not sure still how that works but it's good to know.
This deck actually found me. It was the start of retrograde, i took my washing to the washer room, the deck was sitting there by itself along with the reader manual- which is so old the pages are barely attached. Really freaky actually because it was dark and during a storm. Anyway i believe it was placed there by someone to be taken, so i took it because i was planning on buying a tarot deck prior and the night before this incident happened i had dreamt i had my own deck. Weird. Really appreciated this video, thanks

I'm here and ready to graduate to Thoth.. I "started" with a "5 below deck" then realized I couldn't learn with that and got a Thoth deck, then realized that was too advanced and went to the rider waite Smith deck, after months of practicing and studying i'm ready for the Thoth deck finally.
