I was once lucky to find a brand new Anniversary Scorpion set for only 23$. I wish I have ordered more than one. At that time the deal seemed like a scam, the seller had about 20 to sell.
That is incredible, I’ve heard other people say this. It seams if you were in the right area these set were easy to get and even discounted. If you were in the wrong area you had no chance.
Sorry to hear about the damaged boxes but man what a great group of sets. I got hit with so much nostalgia just seeing the shine on those beautiful old designs.
Thanks man, easy come easy go. Having never seen Mega Bloks in store ‘ever’ due to my location, I get super excited seeing them for the first time. Opening eBay packages of old sets is actually more exiting than receiving current sets through the mail from Amazon. (I still like receiving current sets too though…I have a problem 😂). Also, putting them on the shelf’s after I made that video was super satisfying, I love filling in gaps in the collection 😁
I once found a unopened fireteam rhino set while browsing a thrift store.
I once found a blue series banshee on a store shelf in target 5 years after retirement and paid $5 for it cause they couldn’t find a price for it with their scanner.

I have the first scorpion made by mega, its missing a few pieces as ive had since i was 4, but its still in my collection and looking good

I don’t think I would risk buying a set new in box, especially from the early era, having the box would be cool but the risk of having missing pieces or deformed pieces is just a little too high for me to risk for hundreds of dollars
I can understand that, I’ve often thought about it too. At this point you’d be stuck with what you get.
I finally managed to get a 100% complete Brute Prowler Attack 97004 with box and instructions today!
That’s awesome, that set is still evading me, I’ve come close a couple of times but never pushes the button (expensive).
I love getting a good deal I bought a 99% complete falcon for a hundred dollars congrats man 👍

I am from Germany and i found a store that sold stuff from stores that couldnt sell the products for cheap, and i bought a case of sealed mint condition wraiths for 29 euros each and a case of the construction version of the warthog in orange (idk what its called) for 15 buckos, but i will prob sell all of them
That’s awesome, I had a similar thing with the Halo 5 Wraith Ambush sets, I got 4 for £15 each years ago, that was a good day. I believe the other vehicle you are referring to is the Spade, great set and worth building if you haven’t already tried one.
@@brickman1175 Thats awesome! Yeah its the spade and the wraiths were the 97014 version, i was also surprised since mega stuff is pretty rare here in germany as nobody really collects them
@@nrgnicericeguy1131 97014 is most people’s favourite of the wraith sets so a great find. I’ve heard Mega is very difficult to obtain in Germany, it’s pretty hard in the Uk too outside of the few sets Amazon UK stock. It would be great to see Mega go truly global again like they used to in the Mega Bloks days. Given how strong the product is now it’s hard to see them not succeeding in the global market.

Is there a market for sealed mega? I got the rino used for $55. Is it perfect no but. Why would I spend so much to just open it?
There is a very strong market for sealed MEGA, just like any other collectible that has ever been produced. $55 for a used Rhino is about going rate. Enjoy.
Was wondering how to assemble the characters without a flimsy torso, the piece with on their legs that connects with the torso, don’t understand it.
You need to push together really hard, it will hurt your fingers. This is why the figures come pre assembled now.

Are you in the states or the UK? I monitor the US eBay loosely and know it to be a much more competitive market. That may be the issue.
@@brickman1175 I'm in Canada actually, but i mostly only look at the NA side, shipping ends up being super expensive from the UK usually
@@ruufiss9922 That’s the answer right there. I know a number of collectors in the states and Canada that have to pay far more on the secondary market than we do here in the Uk. I thinks it’s Because Mega Halo has been as good as dead in the UK for years so there is a very small amount of people like myself buying older sets.
I'll never understand new in box collection. Just buy the box, put rocks in it and tap it.
