That's because original afrobeat (fela and lagbaja's version) is ours, and the new variant afrobeats is also ours. So that should not be a surprise. We have one of the youngest population in the world, who are really motivated, plus we have the naija hustle spirit ingrained in us. So no one is taking over any time soon.

Actually, Ethiopia has better sounding afrobeat even though it was recently popularized. Melody and Drums sound much better than Nigerian Afrobeat. But I also like Nigerian Afrobeats!

A modest genius... Wow, i loved to see how he created this masterpiece. Sick beats and bass line. Guitar perfect. Burna voice absolutely perfect and genius, of course. And don't forget to mention the saxophone. It adds this jazzy vibe and this song is complete perfection. Even the video is such a high art. Gbona masterpiece.
