F1: rules, drive safe, don't cheat
Group B: Don't crash into people (Optional)
Thats actually quite funny
90’s F1- I beg do differ
@@EnzoSantos-ue7kr90s?
you mean 50s-80s?
Yes 80’s, the rules were: Don’t crash: optional@@Miskko
wait till you find out what happened in south africa in 1977
Those crowds still make me shudder. It's amazing many more people weren't killed. It was probably only due to the unreal skill of the drivers that fatalities weren't much, much higher.
It was absolutely only due to that.
The fact that they were so skilled made people think that they were safe because most of the time they got it right.
If only they tried driving those cars, or even modern cars, they would punch themselves in the face for being that stupid.
@@M3nta91 talking factoids
@@M3nta91 exactly; it doesn’t matter how much skill they have. Accidents can still happen so easily no matter what you’re using/driving
As vantoxify was saying
Accidents can happen
Like in 1986 potrugal where a RS200 went of the road into a crowd of people
Drivers felt so much pressure back then. Crazy
Imagine how fast they'd have been without the crowd on the track.
you really think they were holding back IoI
yh obv cuz u cant see where the track is going@@Jeremy_the_unfallible_n-a
@@Jeremy_the_unfallible_n-ayes
@@smokeyfish7435 they weren't holding back, they were just focused on hitting a faster time. Even if they were to hit someone, they wouldn't be at fault.
@Jeremy_the_unfallible_n-a yes, it's incredibly difficult for a driver to go all out when there's literally people to the left and right of every apex. Sad group B was canceled but there's nobody to blame but the dumb assess in the crowd
the Quattro didn't hit the cameraman ... the cameraman hit the Quattro...
For real, the car was exactly where it was supposed to be. It's not the fault of the rally drivers that the spectators are trying to change the racing course with their bodies.
Agreed.
THANK YOUUUUU.
THE CAMERAMAN NEVER DIES!!!!!!
TECHNOBLADE NEVER DIES
@@ezolezjdjdjd6831 its a skibidi toilet joke lol
@@GSpinsOnTrack why joke bro?
Congratulations on using one of the most overly used jokes on YT...
Do you always regurgitate old lines to justify your shit life?
Maybe grow up and get some new material so you can be original when it comes to humour vs regurgitating the same shitty one liner that's overused already.
@@ezolezjdjdjd6831 ?
Good job Walter.
Thanks steeeve
He shouldn't have been standing on the side of the track

Well that'll happen when you're standing on the racetrack that he's racing on.
Not a race track, it's a public road. That's why people are allowed to be so close, it's literally your town's dirt backroad...
its a town road
@@dangaming2698is it not literally closed on rally day though-
tbf there is a lot of people and he has to get a better view of the cars. though it is stupid to stand that close
@@repeaterlanes8024 dont think so, this is in portugal and once there was a rally close to my like second family's house (2nd and 3rd cousins and shit), we literally left the house, went up a road, turned left and we were right next to all the rally cars racing
Don't stand in a stupid place then. Rally cars are dangerous. Don't mess with a Killer B being piloted by a legend
Only lost or damaged his camera, he could have lost his life!
Maybe he shouldn't have been standing on the side of the track then
@@Forza55_ Yh, he shouldn't have been so close, as well as the other guy who filmed that beautiful shot 😂 That was "normal" at the time. Alex was pointing out that the commentator was more concerned about the camera and its worth, rather than the guy himself. Crazy times 🤣
Yes he could, because back then people were actually allowed to die...
Idiots thinking they were clever brave and totally idiots because of you group B got banned thanks fools ! 😉👍🏻
Proof that the cameraman never dies
So, the Camera man has all of his immortality, till he gets hit.
Its like a totem of undying. So now we have to get a new camera to achieve the same powers
Tv camera now ebay.....£50!
How do these guys avoid crowds anyway? Cameraman was asking for it
The drivers are simply built different.
The drivers are simply built different.
They don't avoid the crowds, the crowds avoid them
The people's trust in the rally drivers is insane. Like no matter how skilled the driver is, something can still go off like a mechanical issue or smthn. Regarding this, the drivers trust in his car is equally insane. but the thrill is real
He never was too fond of media and fame.
😎😎🙏🙏
I don't know who is crazier here: the pilots or crowd
cameranman stands in the way of car*
Lmao true
Those drivers had nerves of steel to drive through crowds like that
learn through pain
The SOUND
Lucky that that mate did not get hit by that amazing beast
Some say the 205 t16 cut 2 fingers from a spectator on this way

It's just amazing!
he got some good close up shots, if the film survived
The cameraman never dies😂😂😂
title should be "this is why you shouldn't be in the way of a rally course"
I think these are called Group B Rallies. Some drivers who participate in these note they have to imagine the audience members as trees to avoid crashing into them.
Look at how many people were watching them live on place at those times. Compare it to today .. That was emotion and passion for the sport. Clearly dangerous but anyway ..
Agree totally. It was the golden era, but it had to go. People couldn't have gone on dying for a sport.
@@mfelix3511 Exactly. It was too dangerous.
@@mfelix3511 no it didn't had to go
@@aitor9158 yea i agree risk it all for glory and speed. it’s how racing should be
Not like people don't have emotion now. We just have safety rules. Do you really think if the rules were removed we wouldn't be right back there along the track? Fool.
People today are like, "Todays athletes are better than the older generations." Meanwhile in the 80s....
Who even says that
@@startrader9503 i dont think anyone says that
I have never heard that
Basketball players say it all the time, NFL players say it all the time, Professional fighters definitely say it non stop.
The only time cameraman invincibility can be diminished. Quattro passing by
Additionally. In the thumbnail we can see some other powers this specific cameraman have. That's not the Quattro giving this flames. That was always cameraman by the magic from his hand
that Audi has massive understeering ..basically it steers with the accelarator
Anyone know where this is from?

Ive never seen a video without dislikes before
i mean what do you think was going to happen...
My dad saw these races live..., even Godzilla, he saw...
Took out the cameraman and still won😂
Michele Mouton ... "i just think of them as trees..."
It amazes me how unusual it was rally drivers hitting the crowd and nowdays you can see a video of someone running over the crowd on a takeover
thats Comedy For yha Jimmy
i like to think group b was invented by people who hated the spectators in that one grand tourismo 4 rally track
People are so stupid. Race car could easily kll several people if something gone wrong.
You're right. It did go wrong (surprised it didn't go wrong more often), RS200 hit a crowd in Portugal and injured around 30 people and killed 3.
loislurso Accually thats was one of reasons why Group B was banned
spectator was hit during a Group B race
someone just discovered Fire
And? Group B at its peak, and a lunatic stands on the OUTSIDE of a corner? Just stupidity on behalf of the cameraman, and, IMO, not even worth posting, apart from to marvel at the car control to not run anyone actually over.
marsvltor2 it was a miracle no one got killed in those first years.
It was a little before the peak, but ok
guys, you just replied to a 5-6 year old comment...
Cry all you want , but so glad Group B is death . It was soo dangerous and stupid , by viewers and The organizers
@@dejadejod3rYT the viewers are the stupid ones, because they didn't keep a safe distance. That's the whole reason the RS200 crashed in Portugal 1985.
Good old days when safety was: take one step back when its comming
camerman is invincible
Backfire from the turbo??
Bonkers.....
Today they use sticks infront of the little crowd expecting the car to not destroy the sticks
Damn it!! I thought i finally nailed that pesky camera man standing on the road, but missed... at least i got his camera, though!
And this whole time everyone made it seem like he got fucking nailed
we all agree this guys had the privilege of being so close to that amazing car and live to say it + he also is in video. Epic.
no
Halcyon days. Health and Safety my arse!

Made the maths. That slide's worth 123040€ in todays money. Damnn.
group B was the definition of "why bother going bowling when you had plenty of bowling pins while racing another stage". I mean, it was literally IRL Carmageddon, but with more peaceful drivers prefering score squished peds score multiplier.
I would like to see that video.
so stupid to stand so close to the track hahahahha
I'm pretty sure that cameraman hit the car.
Nah, I think he just dropped it in surprise. If he'd been hit by the car, he'd have fallen.
That’s why these rally fans need to get off the road and stop standing in the middle of the road otherwise they will be getting hit badly by a rally car
30K pounds for a broadcast camera in the 80's jeez, how much are they nowadays?
north of 100K
This was a SIGN…….
🙄🙄
Group B. Todays rally is no more so emotional.
Just popping down the courner for a banger mom. Ok dear.
Et maintenant il y a des courses de caisses électriques 😂😂😂😂😂
That is rally racing, if you want to stand in the way, tough if you are hit. You are not supposed to be anywhere that near on the track.
Dude is lucky cuz he is cameraman, otherwise he could get killed by that car.
didn't even fucking hit the camera, let it stand the cameraman, he's just so stupidly clumsy
Soo not the drivers fault, what are these people doing just wandering over the track?
He didn't touch him? Just dropped it...😅
if you stand on the racing surface you might get hit by a car. DUH.
these people are dancing with the devil
Ey, quick tip: don't stand on the racetrack.

It's the same stupid mentality as if I stood watched the race from the start finish line at Road America in the middle of the track.
