This a prime example of an good mashup. Taking the best of both songs and making a single beautyfull one. I personally love the Chorus from "I Gotta Feeling" but the rest of the song doesn´t go with it not to mention it being pretty poor quality imo. Like "Island In The Sun" very much though. Lovely to see it improved this much.

it's fine as far as i know. the whole "black eyed peas not safe thing" passed sometime last year
it happened at the same time as nicki minaj and nelly being unsafe and i've put up mashups with both artists since :)
oneboredjeu Mashup yay Nicki is safe, now she just needs to make a few good songs and actually release the material the same year
heads up that if/when she releases and album exclusively to tidal it might be best to private your nicki mixes just in case :)

Not sure about mixing the vocals of both songs, your "track 1's instrumentals + track 2's bare vocals" sets you apart from the other mashers.
