I love the absence of music. Everything is so inundated with music, it is relieving. I love that it’s not fast-forwarded. I love that you’re talking to us about your thought processes.

Charcoal has such a mesmerizing quality and no one capitalizes on that quality better than you do. I wish I had one tenth of your drawing talent and visual sensitivity!!

Been watching your stuff on instagram for a while now, totally astounded by your talent. Absolutely love the white on black though and I've experimented but as a new "artist" I'm still very much at the learning stage. Love this video.

I love how you worked this image. I've become addicted (?) to low key images using white charcoal, I'm now going to try your technique using a soft palet knife. Thank's for the inspiration

You have amazing skills, beautiful piece! I have to say though that the Generals white charcoal (which I use exclusively) really is charcoal dear. A lot of people assume that white charcoal is chalk but there is a stage after black when you burn wood, it does actually turn white 😊 if you’ve ever cleaned out a fireplace you would remember that there are many stages of black, grey, and white, when wood is burned. Thank you for posting this video, I am intrigued by the method.

The question i have is how do you store it afterwards without it smudging or getting dusty. Is there a process that you do or is it good enough to just stay like that. Because i have just stored my drawings facing upwards out in the open and now they have dust on it. Is there a better way of keeping it for long term without smudging it. If I frame it will it stay non smudged. Hopefully someone has an answer.
