I've listened to a few renditions of this, and I have two nagging questions:
The singing always seem to start with "nithqadash shmokh" (hallowed be thy name) the second verse. The initial "abun d'bashmayo" is always omitted. Does anyone here know why?
The melody seems to kind of "rotate" over the lines - it repeats, but when it starts again, it does so in the middle of a verse or not at the start of a new "stanza". How come?

In the liturgy the priest says the Abun D'bashmayo then the congregation sings the rest
