Lyrics:
I see you
You see me
How pleasant
This feeling
The moment
You hold me
I missed you
I'm sorry
I've given
What I have
I showed you
I'm growing
The ashes
Fall slowly
As your voice
Consoles me
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
We're swaying
To drum beats
In motion
I'm feeling
My patience
Controlling
The question
I won't speak
We're telling
The stories
Our laughter
He knows me
We're leaving
We're talking
You're closer
It's calming
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
The night will hold us close and the stars will guide us home
I've been waiting for this moment, we're finally alone
I turn to ask the question, so anxious, my thoughts
Your lips were soft like winter, in your passion, I was lost
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss
I'm so glad to know
- Happy Birthday Phil - - Hudba

That's kind of the secret behind any compilation or music video made with movie footage.
I posted this on one of the videos on I'm an Android but That's Ok's page and people lost their minds lol.
The fact is that it's verh easy because the viewer will automatically put their own interpretation/feelings into the clip.
Take just about any movie and clip out a semi-random 5 mins. Remove the audio and place in just about any song over ot and it will look good.
Why? Again, the viewer's mind does all the work.
True
This song needs to be about 3 hours long.
Update: I guess I was trying to express how much I like this song, and that I can't get enough of it. I know how to loop a song, thanks for all the replies.
There r longer versions of it in loop
There is dmas

You can right click on the video and just select loop. It will loop until it is closed.

@@Mogzilla86
I know! It's awesome!
I don't think any movie better represented the "unspoken love" most people go through at some point in their lives. It's the wanting of "something more" on both sides, the chemistry is there, the look in their eyes and a million of other small things tell each other "it could be", and yet, it never does. The reasons against it are very few compared to the many for it, and yet the few gets in the way. The whys are often blunt, practical or brutal: different ages, marriages, the settings in which you meet or the fear to act upon it and make it bloom. And there you are, in love with someone you must call a friend and treat as a friend, sometimes for days or years on end, until the last time you meet and then, you won't see each other ever again. But not all of this is just bad or sad, the unspoken love often is better then the one that does bloom, as those one become "just another relationship" with all the things now revealed and the heartbreaks and the fights. Or they become the long term relationship that will be the very reason to have another "unspoken love" . So you just stay there, in this Limbo that is heartbreaking and magical and sad and wonderful all at once.
The film truly defines a Platonic Relationship.
Wow, great summary! Thanks
Yo this comment is underrated I couldn’t have said it better myself
Ok I watched the movie again, at the end there is an intense kiss and he whispers something in her ear while she says ok. There is something, maybe he visits her again or they keep in touch. The love definitely came into its own at the end!
@@michelinosports9363 The funny part for me is near the end when he tells his wife "I want to live more healthy, eat better, exercise more...." and you know his motivation is not his wife. 😆
Hardest feeling in the world, love lost, and a love unspoken. It's hard to explain and hard to overcome.
I watch this movie again this morning because this video, its been 12 years without watching it, i was 22 when i watch it the first time now im 33, First time i like it i understand perfectly how Scarlett feels but now i love it cause i understand completely how Bill Murray feels.

Lost in Translation is the best romantic movie I have ever seen. I can relate more and more with this story the older I get. Perfectly writting, directed and great cast... I need a drink, man ;-)
The scene where he's on the phone with his wife picking out color swatches just hit me so hard for some reason. You want to care, but you just can't. Is this my life now, forever?
This movie is insulting. I mean the dude is old enough to be her dad. It's gross.
@@gupiwa How is that insulting? The fact they're from different timelines and destined to not be together for that reason is the whole point of the movie.

Best definition of nostalgia I've ever heard.
This movie is great because it says so much without effort. It's a love story, it's a family story, it's a tragedy, it's a comedy, etc.
The movie is none of all that. It's not love, not much about family, tragedy it isn't and there's only slight comedic moments. If anything, the movie is about loneliness and being out of place as a person. It's about two people feeling lost and finding kinship, which is something different than love.
Tokyo/Japan is just so magical on its own. I love living here. 日本マジで最高!
It is a great city.
As long as you are not Lost In Translation
This song is the physical embodiment of nostalgia, not the lyrics per say but the actual physical music itself.
What are you nostalgic about?

Lost in Translation was one of the most beautiful movies ive ever seen.
Love this film.
Saw Lost in Translation and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind coming of the back of a break up.
Mended me.
The song is redolent of the past: being young, finding love, etc. it’s such a distant sounding song that brings forth such strong nostalgia.
The idea of getting older gets more frightening on the idea that nothing lasts forever and we get one shot at nearly everything.

This song makes me think of all the good times in my past, and how they are over. But it's okay because I still have so much ahead of me.
No, time is always short, not matter how much you think you have, its never enough, and can end at any time. Live everyday as if its your last, one day you will be right.
@@MarkMcAllister-ni9sfso true but at such a young age you have no idea and many often don’t make the most of the special moments they do have. This song reminds me of many regrets in life.
Lost in translation is a subtle masterpiece of theatre. The open endedness of the conclusion is the hallmark of a literary genius. Not knowing precisely what is said allows the viewer to contemplate what may have been said and arrive at their own possible conclusions. It does not insult the viewer by spoon feeding them everything but allows them to participate and draw their own possible meaning for the story and what they have witness within the film. It makes a story that will speak to each individual differently, and possibly even the same individual differently at different points in their life.
Soulful 😌 Love the music-video combo

nostalgic and melancholic in the same time
This movie has changed how it means to me as I've grown.
So, you're a married person having emotional affairs with someone with at least a 25 to 30 year age difference? Sorry my man, but most people are not going to be able to relate to this movie. Most people would be repulsed but just the thought of doing this. This movie is enjoyable because the acting is great, and the storyline is well written. ... but still, most people will never be able to relate to this on a personal level.
@@ELFanatic Do you mean, as you've grown older and hit the wall?
@@BeyondOurSolarSystem i think most people relate to the "what if this, what if that" thoughts that cross their mind, doesnt mean they are unfaithful it just means we are human

i love this song and the movie. for me it feels like both are able to catch melancholy by it's roots. and for me melancholy is the purest and most beatiful existing thing. it catches me in the moments when i see purely that our existence is meaningless - and the acceptance that it is meaningless makes it possible to give it a meaning by myself - and this is the most beatiful thing i could imagine. sorry for bad english maybe someone can relate.

I love the 80's vibe the song gives, and it just transports me to another decade. Every time I listen to this song, I feel like I'm going back to 1985. I'm in a roller-skating rink by myself and this song starts to play. I start swaying and skating to the beat of the music and out of nowhere the most beautiful guy enters the rink. He joins me on the floor swaying with me and life just feels like a dream. We look into each other's eyes and kiss. We leave on his motorcycle and ride off into the California sunset.
Sounds silly but gives me such a happy feeling for a few minutes.
this song strongly motivates feelings like that

Essa música é perfeita e o filme também! ❤😍
I didn't see this first time round. Didn't hear any reviews, it was off my radar and it's a movie I'd never have picked to watch back then anyway. I decided to watch it the other month because it was on a list of the top 100 movies of the last decade, and so I downloaded it. As a 40 year old guy, I think that - had my younger self watched this when it came out - I wouldn't have gotten everything from it that I did. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. What they managed to do on screen is very, very rare. And it raised my opinion of Scarlett by a few million miles, as an actress. An essential watch but, if you're young now, give it some time. Put it in your diary to watch when you're a grown up, settled into middle age and on the cusp of maturity, but not old enough to have forgotten what it was like to be young.
What a wonderful Scarlett ... ❤❤❤
This song has always reminded me how empty I really am. Not even sadness fills the void anymore. I hope I find someone, someday, sometime with an emptiness of their own.
You are perfectly fine by yourself. No obligations to ANYONE. You are more free than you know or appreciate.
"misery always finds company" apparently with that last statement. Try to fill that emptiness instead of doubling your misery
I hope that you don't. That co-dependence will lead only to your mutual unhappiness and self-destruction. You are enough. Nature, or the natural world, is the answer. But, to get there, you might enjoy reading books on Zen Buddhism or listen to the many lectures available on YT of the late Alan Watts, a thoroughly wise and humorous human being. Emptiness is not a bad thing - I'll let Alan explain the rest... Anthony de Mello's book on Awareness might also be an interesting read for you.
bruh... thats just dumb. From someone with a lot of depression and a tad bit of life exp, I would advice you to find fullfillment not emptiness. Going back to what you've said, that just makes you sound like an angsty teen who thinks no one understands them lol
