Chestnut flowers attract unusual insects - No butterflies here!

Chestnuts don’t attract butterflies with their blossoms - at least not a lot of them. They attract ants 🐜, flies and many other small insects.

We get lots of butterflies

I get them very rarely on my chestnut blossoms. I have a ton of butterflies around them though. Flies/Ants/tiny bees/wasps all seem attracted to my chestnuts.

Do you spray to trees with insecticide?
