Excellent video! I’ve been puzzled with my left hamstring. I’ll stick with this exercise until I see results
The way you explain these exercises,so well and understandable, thank you
Thank you so much I'm so pleased my video was clear and easy to follow!
Best description I’ve been able to find on CZcams and Internet. My hamstrings were so tight they had pulled my left leg back into a 65° angle. I am down to a 28° angle now, but still have very tight hamstrings that are balled up. I’m still having to walk with a walker and using a wheelchair because I’m so off-balance.
Great instructive video. Really well demonstrated.
So pleased it was helpful!
Romanian deadlift is a good exercise. It make my legs strong and get rid of tight hamstrings.
Once again, Mr. Will - many, many thanks.
You're absolutely welcome!
well done, your demo is excellent
Thank you so much!
Many thanks, Will. Very useful advice!
Glad it was helpful!
Aloha Will! Just ordered your book and am excited to start the exercises and stretching that
I need.
Aloha - thank you so much for purchasing my book, I hope you find it packed with interesting and helpful information!
Really useful clear instructions.
So pleased they are useful!
Thank you so much. I love your videos.
So pleased you enjoy them :)
This is great advice. I have always said I have tight hamstrings regardless of stretching. I’m going to try the test.
So pleased it was helpful - Wishing you all the best :)
What a man! So clear, concise and to the point when demonstrating an action. Thankful Granny
Thank you so much - I'm so pleased my video was helpful!
Thank you. Very informative. Could a person do these exercises after a hip replacement.
Thank you so much
You're very welcome!
This is great! I want to know if sciatica pain goes away is it good to do the hamstring exercise?
Hi Will. Great channel by the way.
Which is the best exercise gor a tight back and pelvis as its affecting my legs when i walk.
Thankyou from Hampshire
Thanks, very helpful😊 Can a person do both exercises, assuming have issues with both sciatica and hamstring?
What happens when you stretch and gets stiffness thank you Will
Fabulous! I am awaiting a total Knee replacement but lately the pain is at the back of my knee is in deep, and alll the tendon insertion points, or hamstring points on both tib and fib, are excruciating…I just tried this reverse stretch, and hope fully it can help .Great to find you…I am female age 61 for info..
Thank you. I tried the Romanian deadlift with two 10-lb dumb bells and really feel the stretch. I'll do these daily.
Wishing you all the best :)
Well, it seems it is the nerve with me. Really nice test. I will try the exercise. Thank you
Wishing you all the best!
With me back of right leg striking nerve can these help😊
With each exercise it would be useful to understand why you might not or should no do it. For example, people with osteoarthritis in the lower back should not do it.
Great advice, I have siactica and I am always worried about suitable stretches
Absolutely, it's important to be cautious - I hope my videos can offer some guidance :)
Thanks. I have had this tightness since high school!
I hope my video can help :)
How long should one do these and how long does one hold each stretch and how many repititions. How often per day day once, twice or more often. Thank you
Thank you always Will.
You're very welcome :)
When I do the Romanian Deadlift I get a tightening kind of spasm right at the top of the hamstring, more from the glute? Good sign or not?
What about anterior pelvic tilt as another explanation for tight hamstrings and stretches not working? I was told I needed to core strength to rebalance the tilt and take some pressure off the already stretched hamstrings.
Hi Will, are you ever going to visit Southern California? I still would like to take you on a date. I’m a teacher with a very easy going demeanor. I’m only asking because good friends told me take care of myself, instead of others. Sorry to bother. Alex from Los Angeles.
Amputation crosses my mind, would that be cheating, too quick a fix? Not like I wouldn't still have one good leg to stand on, bon weekend everyone!
❤❤
Hi it’s my knee that hurts when I do this
Nice. Is there a deadlift that works for the Achilles and whatever tendon wraps the ankle as well? I need all 3.
Hi I get cramp I my legs when I try to touch my foot to my behind why is this?
Same here. I wish someone would answer 🫤
❤️💖🙏❤️💖
You keep saying to do "a set," but you never define what a set is.
Hello. A set is a number of repetitions or a given time interval. Early in the video he mentioned doing the movement for a minute and repeating that a few times during the day. I don’t recall a number or time given for the RDL and there are various theories (or rather purposes) for changing the weight/reps/sets of an exercise. A common routine for many exercises is 3 sets of 10-12 repetitions. The rest period between sets can depend on a few different factors but 1 minute should be fine here.
This is really fascinating. I've never heard the tight hamstring issue described this way. Thanks, Will. I will definitely give this a try. 👍 🦵
So pleased it was interesting - wishing you all the best :)
