Old locks are definitely more âfunâ to work with. đ
The mechanisms are often unknown, and itâs trial and error (with some ingenuity) to get the open.
With locks these days, itâs often a case of âoh, this is a such and such, Iâll Just use this pickâ
Too true! I have several locks in the naughty bucket that look like they'll require this level of effort to attack. Before COVID, I just didn't have time to mess with them, but now....đ

I also like the red soft jaws, they look real cool. I use aluminum everytime but its my company that has them nkt me.
Every you tube video in which Master is mentioned is made by purpose but not because of Master lock quality but because you tubers are and were payed to do so.

A word of warning to people considering attempting to pick locks of this design - some of them contain trap discs that when rotated far enough by a pick will get locked in place by a spring. At this point, even the correct key will often cease to operate in the lock.
Is that a warded padlock, when you say disk...?
