    Great video well done. I've owned my IS-F since new 10yr now DD for 7yrs its been FBO for 9yrs tune and tuned intake with larger 87mm MAF Housing for 3yrs, koyo radiation, FigsEngineers trans cooler 106k miles running flawlessly had compression test and engine is very healthy. From factory IS-F has forged crank, forged rods, forged lobes, titanium lifters, aluminum heads built and designed by Yamaha F1 designed team. Suspension upgrades from Figs Engineers LCA endlinks, adjustable toe, mega arms solid metal hub bearing and RR Racing LCA, Skikky sway bars, Superpro bushings there more aftermarket support then you maybe aware such as Penkse coilovers, ohlins coilover, Kwv3 coilovers , Airlift3H perfomance suspension etc, Figs Engineers suspension, brakes, bushings and chassis components, Project Mu PS brake pads, Headers catbaback exhaust from all major companies such Borla, Akrapovic exhaust, meistercraft exhaust, JoeZ Exhaust PPE Headers, Skikky Headers etc. RR Racing, suspension components, Tune and Tuned intake their Supercharger from stageI to stage III. 295 in back no problem just have to get right offset for rims. Carbon Fiber steering wheel interior panels, Carbon Fiber Hoods, spoilers, diffusers. You are correct out their for BMW but these aftermarket companies such as FigsEngineers and RR Racing and others produce extremely high-quality parts. Yes only 5100 were shipped to usa roughly 4000 regestered in usa out of over 260 million cars registered. Quick video of steering wheel czcams.com/video/BRxwbukDv-k/video.html

    Love both cars, I was a Lexus fanboy but traded my IS350 for an F80 Competition as wanted something newer than the ISFs that were around. The practicality of the M3 is awesome, loads of room in the back, seats fold down etc. Coupled with the performance and quality it's hard to match.

    The ISF is truly the first attempt by Lexus and having lived with it for over a year as a daily driver, with a dark grey exterior, a true sleeper as most don't even know about ISF. M3 would be better on a track, the BMW racing experience would be shining through, but the ISF would be a better daily driver and reliable. I have 285s in the rear without any changes

      I've been driving auction while my kids in class for some extra cash plus the chance of getting to drive a cool car. I remember the first time I saw an ISF, I thought hey that's a good looking Lexus so I decided to check it out.
      I don't know what possessed me to fire it up, like I said I'd never heard of an ISF and very few engines sub 8 cylinders sound good to me. It was a cold morning and I was not expecting what was about to happen when it boomed and growled to life.

Same gas tank size as the 6 cylinder meant range is only like 240 miles with full tank. Other than that amazing car. Lol, you're completely wrong with Lexus/Toyota not having a heritage in racing. Lexus won 24 hours at Daytona for 3 years in a row starting in 05. Lexus as a manufacturer team also raced the IS300 for a couple years starting in 2001 in Grand Am cup. They also raced in Super GT with their SC430 before the ISF came out. Yes, BMW and Lexus both have heritage in racing. The ISF is heavier because it was a couple Lexus engineers that got together afterhours/as a side project and pieced the ISF together with a small budget. Not like the M3 which was engineering focused. Its apparent in the suspension pieces where the ISF uses more steel arms.

      Yes there is, when the car came out paddle shifters were still pretty new but they definitely should have improved the response time with the later Isf models! RR racing tune does improve the shifts though but still doesn’t compare to modern cars

      only at lower rpm, at higher rpm it’s literally instant. 0.1 shift times which is still impressive for a torque converter auto. downshifts are also crazy quick, more responsive than brand new mustangs. ive driven both cars and when ur pushin it the dct isnt that much faster

    Anyone daily driver an M3 out of warranty? How expensive is it to own one?

    • @MikeyG003
      @MikeyG003 Před 10 měsíci

      Not expensive at all especially if you can wrench. Basic maintenance is all. Spark plugs every 25-30k on these motors tho

      @@jaimehurtado356 i am in the same bubble kind of, really want an isf just something about F’s that they have a special place in my heart, but also really want a f8x. after watching your comparison video, power isn’t always the best, and the isf definitely will feel way more raw and quicker as you said.
