Used this set up after watching the vid. First game, got a team wipe within 10 sec and made half of the enemy team leave lmao. Saving this build 1000%

Bro I was sceptical of that load out and now it’s my preferred for onslaught. On demand free damage boost, scorch, overload, and ignitions which takes care of unstoppables. That regeneration barley ever comes down below 5-10 seconds
It’s not as good imo as lorally helmmfor pve imo. Every mag you’re standing in a sun spot , getting sol Invictus, and scorching/killing any rushing enemies.
@@TLllllll I can see how lorely would be nice but being able to have male the restoration mobile and extend it to 15 seconds with ember of empyran is nice. Plus don’t have to wait for barricade to be off cooldown
I've been using this since the initial Stompees nerf. It used to work against Wells, doesn't anymore. But at least you can still clap a bubble without firing a single shot. Calibans has been so much fun to use this whole time.

I do the same thing with celestial fire and incendiary nades. So satisfying to win the round in the first ten seconds if the other team holds hands at the beginning of the round.
Incindiary grenade and Athrys. Easiest ignitions ever since the weighted knife ignites anyone who's scorched regardless of the amount of stacks.
Not to mention the aimbot bounces are baked into the exotic and dont need to loaded like the bonus damage
@TheRealDeepFriedWonton True but the stacks are quite unreliable. You have to be really fast with nade + knife to get 100 while the weighted knife will ignite as long as you see scorch damage pop up (also shows you where to bounce your knife - nice side effect of the scorch).
I love Calibans. My favorite build right now.

Caliban's was always my go to for mayhem. It's insane how many knives you can get down on the inside of an entry way and just catching people off guard. I was #15 in the ELO ranks on mayhem getting carried by it lol

It's mainly you need both grenade and knife to be up for it to really work, and with the increase in ability cooldowns well....

Before I quit the game I was a tommy main… in PvP. The amount of messages I got calling me trash for using it only for them to die in every engagement when they tried to use it was pure bliss

I mailed Matchbook in PVP for a few months, I have no complaints as a hunter taking the burn damage. I did find it risky to use in harder PVE modes.

If you know how to use Tommy's right especially if you happen to have the ornament, it makes you feel like Al Capone with the 1921 Thompson.
The extra damage on it is just evil too.

Tommy's matchbook is an amazing weapon and it was the first ever weapon with a disk magazine that Bungie made and i like it but i think their decision of adding the whole self damage was a bad choice otherwise I'm sure it would be used alot more

Swap a fragment out for Ember of Eruption which gives your solar ignitions a 20% larger AOE, better shot at the team wipe.
I think the main problem with tommy's matchbook is the stability. I always find it harder to aim and other exotic rapid fires have either 100 or near 100 stability.
Hipfire, it's built for it. Also it makes you feel like a gangsta, eh tony?

I've tried so many recommended builds for this weapon and every time i end up hating it. I think the weapon is cool but I just don't like its function.
